Slow!

Course was in great condition but the pace of play made it impossible to enjoy. It took us 4.5hrs to get thru 13 holes and at that point we walked off. Each tee was backed up and we were waiting over 10 minutes to tee off on every hole. If the pace of play was better I’d definitely recommend playing here. If it’s as slow as it was all the time then I’d steer clear.

Feeling discriminations about

Just finished my (half) round. Felt bullied by both players and staff to leave early. As someone with a clearly visible disability being told we would have to speed up our play or leave made me feel like giveing up the game I love. We had already let 4 parties play through on nine holes as I am aware my play can be slow. To be told by the 5th group behind us they could get us kicked out as they were members and to have someone who identified as a member of staff tell us the same was discusting. I would be expecting a refund based on this behaviour

Cracking value

Played the course again for the second time. To be fair the last time we played it was deep in the winter between christmas and new year last year. This game was different again. For the time of year and weather we found the course to be really good.

The bunkers could have be manicured better but I thought the course was in really good condition. The greens run fair and true so was happy to be on them. The pace of play was very slow in front of us which left us with a pair standing behind us on the Tee on most holes.

All in all a great course with an enjoyable layout for a great price.. if I lived anywhere near i really could see it being my membership choice!!

Championship potential in beautiful location

A glorious March day spent on a very high calibre course with every hole of the highest quality and set up.

Some fantastic par 3’s and very well designed layout.

Beautiful countryside sets this apart from other courses.

Improvement needed in pathways and a few of the larger bunkers, but the historic championship quality of this course still makes it great value and thoroughly recommended.

Very enjoyable

The course was playing all of its length due to how wet it was. It was still in good condition considering how much rain there has been recently, a lot of the tees have been moved forward.

Greens were ok for the time of year.

Par 3's are great and really make the course. Excellent for a group outing.

No communication

No text or email to say the course was closed. Us and a few others turned up to tee off and there was just a little sign on the first tee saying course closed. Not sure how we are supposed to see that from our bed :)

Used thee range instead of, very poor , the trackman area wasn’t open, there were no flags to aim at etc,

Linden hall

Nice course to play on with great and fun holes. Amazing buildings in backgrounds with some nice views.

Winter: I played 15 holes and the greens were completely frozen and the ball bounced like it would on concrete however that’s no one’s fault and you could tell the greens were kept in good condition.

Pace of play

Played here a handful of times previously, and as usual the course was lovely and the staff helpful and friendly. However the pace of play from the groups infront of us was totally unacceptable. We were a two ball and there were at least 4 four balls Infront of us going ridiculously slowly. We had to wait on every tee shot, and it took us nearly 4 hours to finish 13 holes!! We actually walked off at that point and went for a beer. This is where we met both of the groups who had been behind us who also didn't finish their rounds. If we'd kept going I assume we'd have been on the course for over 5 hours which is insane.
