Rothbury Golf Club

Played here while on holiday in the area. Staff were very friendly and guided us how to play the front nine. Front 9 is a thinking course as very sloping and you need to think about shot direction. The back nine completely flat and just up and down. Enjoyable game and definetly work a knock. Having played several courses around Northumberland in the previous weeks the greens were very slow in comparison.

had a great day at rothbury with my son, lovely course well tended with great staff. had a pint at the 19th tea sitting on the varanda lovely views across the river and the town.

Friendly welcome on arrival . We were early for our 4 ball t- off but were allowed to start early providing we let the 2 ball behind through if necessary. Only criticism was that the sprinklers were on the greens and active on four of the holes during our round . The 15th hole was the last one we encountered so well into the round . Could the greens not be watered at a different time as course became busy so everyone playing would have come across this .

Staff were great and had drink and sandwich afterwards on balcony . Will be back .

For the first time playing this course I found the course impressive the staff member was very friendly and helpful and overall very good I will be back and enjoy this amazing experience again.

Made very welcome on arrival and had a very relaxed round with no issues regarding speed of ply . A great course and would recommend fully . We will definitely be back.

First time for a while , staff very friendly and helpful, weather glorious sunshine, course in excellent condition , pace of play was perfect , and the golf was canny as well , we will return , and recommend.

Another great day out at rothbury, weather was wet and dull for the first 9 , but dry and warm back 9 , course was in excellent condition considering the rain we've had this year , we will return on a warmer day .

Had a good day at rothbury , played on my own as partner not available, got there early staff really good , got out 20 minutes earlier than t off time , the course was in excellent condition , first nine holes a little bit slow , they let me through for the back 9 ,overall a very enjoyable round , I will return and do recommend to other golfers to try it .

Lovely course, with lovely views of the rolling hills surrounding. Reasonably flat, but not boring. A nice example of a shorter layout that keeps you thinking, not a bombers course. Nice greens, especially after such a dry summer, fantastic value, friendly staff.

The staff are incredible and so friendly and also the toilets were immaculate. I just feel bad to say I didn't find the course all that interesting.

Highly recommend this course. We’ll layer out and the greens looked and were great.

Good clubhouse with friendly, welcoming staff. Inexpensive to eat and drink and they have the best caramel shortbread.

Great course with amazing views . We really enjoyed playing here. It was a bit windy but that didn't spoil our enjoyment. Big thumbs up .
