Good facilities and friendly staff

Fantastic condition and quality of tees, greens,fairways.

Can't remember playing on smoother faster greens, having just watched the Masters on TV, it was almost like putting on those greens, well an English version.

Lovely mixture of tough and easier holes, played a lot of courses and played here 20 years ago, this is one of the very best. Great friendly staff, fantastic clubhouse and facilities, wish I had spent my junior years here, played Hexham today, and that was good, but it paled in comparison.

We played here late March, all greens in play, damp in some patches, but thats expected at time of year. Greens in very good condition for time of year. We enjoyed it, and wouls play here again.

Really good course I’m well looked after and some really good challenging holes

Played this for 1st time. Winter tees were in play (some were mats) but 17 normal greens and only 1 winter green. Course was in excellent condition given it was march. Bunkers in good condition. An interesting course to play, 1 very steep hole, and an enjoyable round of golf.

The course was in very good condition, greens were excellent and true. Overall it was great days golf and fantastic value for money.

Found this course to my liking. Especially enjoyed 2nd 9 which rewards sptright drives. By no means the longest course but still a fine test.

Couldn't find my range on the greens but that was obv down to me. Still found most greens in regulation and would definitely play here again.

Guiness in clubhouse was spot on aswell.

Good course. Friendly staff. The pace of play was slow as there was a competition in front of me so 4balls pretty much as far as the eye could see. I teed off at 1.10pm. Greens were very good and bunkers well raked. I would play again.

First time playing here and the whole course was extremely well maintained. Greens were beautiful. Friendly staff and definitely would recommend to others, especially to mid to high handicappers as the course is relatively forgiving compared to others with more hazards locally. If I had one gripe, the 13th and 16th (I think) are extremely close to one another and wasn’t overly clear which one was which, especially as hasn’t played before, no map on the scorecard and was playing myself. However absolutely nitpicking, would definitely play here again.

Always wanted to play this course with my 75 year old dad and it didn't disappoint. Golf now had paired us with another twoball (an awful feature of the service) but Morpeth is one of the sensible clubs that is happy for you to tee off on your own if the tee is free.

The course itself is fabulous and a good test whilst still being fair so ideal for all standard of players. All parts of the course were in fantastic condition with a front nine fairly long but open, whilst the back nine is a bit shorter but tighter. Standout holes include the 13th, which is a par 4 up the steepest bank I've ever seen to an elevated green at the top of the course (beautiful views), and the subsequent 14th, which is an elevated par 3 playing down to the green. The members were wonderful, everyone saying hello and chatting with us when appropriate, and the clubhouse had some lovely staff and just an incredibly welcoming feel. The food was lovely as well and very reasonably priced. All in all just a brilliant day out and we'll definitely be returning!

Highly recommend with some good holes

Staff very friendly and helpful. Course in good condition considering it has not rained for 2 weeks. Really enjoyed it. Would recommend it.

Great course close to the town center.
