Prestwich Golf Course is an excellent course and we thoroughly enjoyed playing there.

We like to play different courses around the North of England and Scotland every year. With this in mind, I can safely describe it as unique.

It is short but by no means does that make it simple, the opposite in fact. All holes are tight, some much more than others with plenty of blind tee shots and dog legs to follow.

What made it so pleasurable to play was how unique some of the holes are. The greens were in pristine condition and considering how dry a summer we have had, the fairways were very well kept also with more green than plenty of others played this year.

The staff and players that we met around the course were friendly.

I would certainly recommend playing there.

It’s a tight, short course and as a first time visitor knowing what club to take and where we were going was a bit tricky. There were a few holes which crossed each other but as long as you keep an eye out it wasn’t a problem. The greens were immaculate, undulating and a good speed. Members were great advising us where to go and asking how we found it afterwards. Staff were extremely friendly too, will definitely be back

Great course with some narrow fairways. Can be confusing navigating with your first time but staff gave a full overview before we started playing. Greens in fantastic condition highly recommend this course

The course overall is ok. Its just the £45.00 green fee that stings a little for this track. It is nice enough and different as only short so not a lot of long par 4/5. Very tight with lots of tees and greens that overlap so waiting around on some holes for people tee off as you have to often walk across someone teeing off. Club house small and the pies we bought where very dry and had spent to much time in the heater behind the counter. Its an ok course to have a knock with friends if you fancy something different and don't need to get the driver out that often at all. But Im sure most visitors will agree that £45 is on the steep side compared to some other clubs in Manchester area.

Was first on course so no problem with slow play apart from green staff that even when I was over the ball to put was leaf blowing within 4 to 5 foot from hole… the guy in the pro shop was brilliant though. Course is short but really keeps you on your toes with narrow fairways and some interesting undulating greens. Well worth a visit terrific value for money will definitely be back regularly during summer.

You don't get to play many courses in March with all 18 greens on. Well done to the greenkeepers

Not many big long open par 5’s but lots of intricate and interesting 4 and 3’s instead- which I prefer!! Very clean, great staff, great pro and fantastic value for money.

Excellent condition for the time of year. Very friendly chap in the pro shop. Shame the coffee shop was not open before we teed off.

Every hole had a different challenge making it really enjoyable….

Great little course,met by a very helpful gentleman in the pro shop that gave us some very helpful tips.

A very interesting course that requires accuracy over distance.

All greens bar 1 in very good condition,thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and would recommend a visit.

It it's relatively hilly nothing to bad but worth a mention if you have some mobility issues.

Had to leave the course after 7 holes due to a thunderstorm. All greens completely flooded and course was unplayable. No refund despite querying it with the pro and GolfNow - which was disappointing. Course didn’t officially close apparently.

Shame really, was enjoying the round before that, course improved since I last played. Greens were good and staff / members all friendly.

As it said on the write up. You can get round the course comfortably in under 4 hours. Only needed the driver a few times , but still a challenging course. Will deffo return

This course is not for the faint hearted or weak hearted! There are some serious hills to climb some extremely challenging holes. It’s not the longest course in the world, but this is made up for by some very challenging narrow fairways steep drops and climbs and extremely unforgiving elevated greens all of which were in fantastic condition when I played. Having never played this class before I was advised to buy some more balls this was a good advice you are going to lose some just suck it up and enjoy the stunning views. I can’t wait to play here again.

Course in good condition but it’s just too crammed in. Constantly crossing other fairways and trying not to be hit. Might suit some but definitely not me.

Compact tricky course needing thoughtful planning with sloping fairways and undulating greens! Very enjoyable. Some holes could do with better signs to the different tees and the next hole.

The course was fine but there were just far too many groups playing. It feels as though the course was just stacking tee times in. We were playing in a 2 ball with 4 or 5 4 balls in front who were clearly new to the game and while everyone needs to start somewhere it massively backed up the course. Walked off on the 13th when it reached the 5 hour mark. Spacing the tee times out further and explaining about letting faster players play through would be the way to go.
