Course was in good condition weather was good play was very slow

Played this course for a second time in a week . Really friendly and welcoming atmosphere from the green keepers to the pro shop and members. Very family oriented and a vibrant feel about the place .

The course although challenging caters for all handicaps and is in fantastic condition . And every hole presents a fresh challenge. And well signposted so navigating it is not difficult.

Seriously considering applying for membership for next year as it ticks every box .

Clubhouse and shop staff really friendly and welcoming. Five star course in my opinion . Plays like a dream every hole brings a fresh challenge and a challenge. Absolutely loved the layout and condition of the course. Will definitely play this course again . Big shout to the green keepers for thier efforts and hard work to get this course into pristine condition. So in general a warm and welcoming club with arguably one of the best courses in northern England.

Course was decent. Pace of play wasn't the best a 2 ball slow playing could have let us through as we were playing much quicker . But they made us play the last 6 holes behind them . Punishment spoilt the round to be honest

All greens in great condition. Winter tees shortened the course but heavy underfoot so this was a benefit. Challenging back nine . Overall really good day

I like this course, the greens are pretty much flat but I find the challenge on the fairways, some are quite tight, you are better off playing golf and not just hitting it on this course.

We paid £27 for a Saturday morning tee time in early October which we thought was very good value. The course was in great condition and we enjoyed a drink and light snack in the bar afterwards. The course itself is interesting with a variety of holes, it’s not just boring straight up and down fairway golf. Staff were all helpful and friendly. The only thing that was slightly annoying was the pace of play, we were held up by a couple of groups in front of us. But I know this is a general golf issue and not specific to Romanby. All in all a great course and great value for money if you can find a late deal. Would highly recommend.

I normally play this course in the summer and it's amazing, we played last Sunday and it was fine until the 7 tee box. There was a four-ball somewhere in front of us , holding the field up and we were waiting about 10 minutes on every tee box after the seventh hole. We walked off after 14 holes and went home disappointed. A ranger should be employed to speed these spoilers up.

First time here, will definitely return. Fantastic course, 11th hole is immense

The course was in great condition given the v long and v dry summer. There’s a great mix of challenging holes and also some opportunities to score well. Always a pleasure to play here, open vistas, wide fairways and some beautiful views!

After playing here at Romanby all I can say is wow! As soon as you enter the Country Club entrance road it instantly feels like a premium CC. There’s plenty of easy parking right next to the pro shop and country club which makes an easy start to the experience. Friendly staff welcome you to both the Clubhouse and pro shop and both have various refreshments. The course itself is outstanding, with nice open fairways, immaculate greens and a very nice variation of hazards including a spicy 11th hole which requires you to clear a large pond to get onto the green. The price of the green fee doesn’t reflect how the course is, it’s an absolute steal for the price and I will be returning as soon as I can, even as a beginner this course is very manageable and less intimidating than other courses I have played at. My favourite course in North Yorkshire by far.

Course layout is great, greens very good & nice seeing green fairways. it’s not to bad of a walk. Pace of play was good, plenty of buggies available.

Pro was very helpful, staff in the clubhouse very friendly. Food & drinks reasonable priced. Club house very nice,

Booked through golf now, went it the club shop too pick up a card and confirm my tee time. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Course is in great nick, fairways and greens were well maintained.
