Stunning Course!

Really enjoyed playing this course. It is very well kept, layout is great and it is easy to navigate round. Both the front and back 9 loop back round to meet each other. Staff are very friendly and happy to help! On every tee box there is a large sign that tells you the hole number and it’s yardage, on most of the tee boxes as well there are ball cleaners. Really well presented course, both easier and more challenging holes, a variety for all level players, would highly recommend this fantastic course!

Challenging Layout

Some very interesting holes with some tiny greens. The undulations on the greens took some reading! Overall a very enjoyable round

Good, reliable course even in the winter

Second time we’ve played here in recent months. It’s a challenging and relatively long course, and stands up to the wintry conditions better than most.

A real plus compared to a lot of local courses is that they maintain the tee boxes even through winter - no stupid mats. And they don’t require fairway mats either.

Good course, decent price, we’ll be back no doubt

Brilliant condition

While other green staff close courses for frost. Richmond don't. They want it open and feel frost does not damage the course for the summer. Having also played it in the summer I have to agree. Course was in amazing condition. Some green frozen some part frozen some in the sun where fine.

My only criticism for Richmond is it is dangerous, if you do not keep your eyes open and wits about you. hitting over greens and walking towards people driving is not the best. But They have it well signposted. You just need to be wary.

Always reliably well kept, a good test for the average golfer

It’s one of the longer courses in the area, and presents a good challenge for the average golfer.

Given the recent weather, the course was in great condition.

The 14th tee placement still seems an odd change - it now requires driving directly over the 13th green, whereas the old tee on the right of the 13th green was a more interesting and arguably safer tee.

Blast from the past

I was a member of RGC in the late 80's/early90's before moving with my job. It was a memory visit asa stopover on my wat to Scotland for the open at Troon.

The course has definitely changed, with some of the holes unrecognisable. Whilst there is no doubt that it is now a lovely course, kept in great condition with fantastic views, I couldn't help feeling that it had lost some of its old character. I suppose that's nostalgia for you! All the best Richmond golf club.

Extremely wet

Nice enough course with greens in very good condition.

Would recommend staying away until mid season once the course has dried out a bit.

Great condition after wet start to year

Fairways and greens in surprisingly good condition considering the awful weather we have endured. Very enjoyable round of golf.

Absolutely brilliant!

What a great course! Conditions were very good for the time of the year. Particularly the greens!

Lewis in the pro shop is a great help too, nothing is too much trouble for him. Would highly recommend if anyone is looking for clubs, grips etc.

An all round great day out.

Thanks!
