Located on Florida's Space Coast, The Great Outdoors is a popular destination spot for RV enthusiasts, offering hundreds of well-amenitized places to park a vehicle and enjoy the resort for a few days. The golf course, designed by Ron Garl, opened in 1988.
Grown-ups can have a good time in the land of Mickey Mouse, too. Dozens of premier golf courses and luxurious resorts -- coupled with the nightlife of Downtown Disney, CityWalk at Universal Studios, and Orlando Magic games -- solidify Orlando as one of golf's most diverse destinations.
Daytona Beach has a lasting association with competitive stock car racing. Its golf scene is a justifiably strong draw, as well, with courses that can appeal to a range of tastes and budgets.
As we enter the depths of winter across the U.S., Florida courses are beginning to take over the Power Rankings, at least for the week of Jan. 11. Coming in first this week is the Hills Course at LPGA International in Daytona Beach.

Orlando's Dubsdread Golf Course dates back to 1924 and has hosted legendary golfers like Ben Hogan and Sam Snead. Today it serves as a welcoming, affordable muni just minutes from downtown. The Golf Channel's Matt Ginella and Charlie Rymer recently played Dubsdread and awarded the course an overall 4-out-of-5-star rating.

Overlooking vineyards and Lake Apopka and Lake Siena, Bella Collina is positioned in a setting that more resembles Italy than central Florida. And it all starts with an enormous Tuscan-inspired clubhouse. The golf course befits the clubhouse with its elevated tees, wide fairways and rolling hills.
