Always enjoy this course
The greens here are the best feature: they're Bermuda and very true and fast. The fairways are generous except for a couple of holes and in very good condition for this time of year.
Reedy Creek is worth the drive
First thing that came to mind when I though about reviewing Reedy Creek was the Staff and their respect & friendliness. Ive never had a negative experience when checking into Pro shop no matter how/when or why I booked the round. That alone is reason to visit them more than a few times a year. The course is always in better than avg shape and its challenging based off difficult green slopes alone. Its rewarding to shoot sub 85 from the whites there...any lower and you have had a terrific day. Its fair but does not tolerate sub par play without dishing out punishment.
Bottom line...Its worth the drive to get there and experience it. I only wish it was 30 miles closer to me...maybe I move toward them one day.
Winter Surprise
75 degree's in January just after having 10 degree's earlier in the week, the greens and the overall course was was very good and had a great time.
Course OK But Staff Not Friendly
Reedy Creek is an OK course but I stopped going there a year or two ago because the staff was never friendly to me, even though I had a frequent-player card. When I would check in they hardly had a word to say unless it had something to do with processing my payment. I'm not going to drive 50 minutes to play a course where I don't feel welcome, especially when there are plenty of other courses in the Triangle area that let you know they're happy to have you.
Make the drive soon
Been 2 years since I played out here and had hit and miss experiences in the past but $24 on a Wednesday and playing partner lives in Cleveland area so it was worth it to me to ride an hour. Extremely pleased with the decision. We teed off about 5 mins before 11am and I was loaded up and back on the road by 145p and we even made a pit stop at the turn. I'm sure weather that morning kept a few people away but it would have been a 3hr round max even with a few more golfers around.
Course conditions were phenomenal. Even the tee boxes were in great shape. Course is all Bermuda so greens had been dyed already and even though it rained a decent amount the morning we played they were crazy fast. Smooth and true though. You had to keep your speed right or you were in trouble. Putted 2 balls off the green!
It isn't the most imaginative layout. Lot of 350-360 yard par 4s but par 5s are reachable which makes risk reward holes and par 3s are challenging enough.
I fully intend to play there again soon. I do think the greens will start getting crusty with them going dormant so probably would play in the next few weeks to get the same conditions. Can't imagine you would regret it.
Hidden Gem just outside Raleigh
I live in Raleigh and made the half hour ride to Reedy Creek and was blown away with the immaculate condition of the course. The greens were in better conditions and rolling truer than any greens I have played this summer/fall in the RTP area. Staff was incredibly friendly. Absolute hidden gem a few miles outside the city and would highly recommend the course to anyone who asks.
Course in great shape !
Greens were the best I have been on this year ! Great course for every type of golfer !
Best shape ever
I've played here since it opened in 1988....but hadn't played in quite some time. Pleasantly surprised to find the course better than I ever remember it....and told them so.
Go Play This Track!
Great course. Highly recommend given the perfect conditions of tee box, fairways, and greens...especially for the $. Friendly staff. Easy access from Raleigh.
Enjoyed the day
A nice country course with good conditions. Found the greens very difficult to read. Pace of play was outstanding for middle of the day on a weekend. Was surprised the course wasn't packed with the beautiful weather we had. I'll definitely go back.
Great course in perfect shape!
This was my first time playing here - my father-in-law suggested as he plays here often. Layout was nice - wide open fairways. I was very impressed with the condition of the course - the greens and fairways were in perfect condition. This has become my new favorite!
Nice course.
Course is well put together. Has a good mix of wide open holes plus the ones you have to think about how your gonna play it from the tee box. It has a good mixture of trees & water hazards. It's a good course for all level golfers with a variety of shot choices that are needed. Several risk reward holes. Course was well kept & put together. Will be back.
Great Greens
Great course with groupnow price. New Carts..
Wow!!! This Course is a Hidden Gem!
Where to start.... We played this course based on a friends recommendation. I found a hot deal on Golfnow and got a foursome for $39.00 E. I will say that it was the best value I have ever had on a golf course. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were IMMACULATE... The pace of play was under 4 hours on a busy Saturday. The weather was great, and the staff were very friendly. Added bonus: ALL of the carts are BRAND NEW!!!! They are only 3 days old!!!! I could go on and on but suffice it to say, I have found my new favorite course in the Triangle.
Day at Reedy
Played with my lady friend, she has not played much, let a few people play through . Everybody nice, always a good time. First hole I drove about 250 yards to left inside of fairway. Someone from the opposite direction hit my ball instead of there own, found there ball in the rough .Oh well #%&@ happens, just let it go , have a cold one and enjoy the rest of the game.Great course great people.
Great Course
I enjoy playing here. Staff is friendly, course is in good shape. One of my favorites.
Too slow
Course had a group of seniors playing and they played way too slow. Had 3 groups on one tee waiting. Course did not have a Marshall to get slow groups to pick up pace. Took 5 1/2 hours to play. Way too long. Course needs to manage pace of play better. I guess they were all members and course does not want to upset them but not sure if I want to go back if it's like that.
Looks like you played on Thursday morning. That Is the group golf morning for members and seniors. I play there a lot and worst time was Almost 4 hours on a busy day. Usually 3-3 1/2. We go around 1130 on Thursday and had no issues.
