Forest Oaks Country Club

Course is in beautiful shape. Putting green, pro shop, snack bar all take the place to the next level. Course is in fantastic shape! Greens roll fast and true, fairways in gorgeous shape, and rough provides welcomed challenge. Great value for the money. Definitely will make the 1:20 trip down to play this course again.

This was my 4th or 5th time playing Forest Oaks during the past two months while my home course is undergoing renovations. The course and staff are exceptional. Course is in great shape and staff is very friendly.

Only issue today was there were two groups of four waking ahead of us. No one was in front of them and they refused to let anyone play through. They basically backed everyone else up. I presume they were members who think they own the place. Every club has a group of them.

Overall this is a great place to play. Like I said, this was my 4th or 5th time playing and first tine I ran into a bunch of jerks who slowed everyone else up. The course is great though and I would recommend it!!

Good. Value for the price. Regular $25-$27 rates and you can pretty much play 27 since everything closes up early once the late afternoon. Tee times tee off. We call it 27 for $27! Take advantage while you can of rates just a few bucks more than members cart fees!!

Fantastic! Fairways were in excellent condition. Greens were plush bent grass. Really fantastic course to play, especially for the price. Can’t wait to play again. P.s. admirer of the history.

Still my favorite course to play walking or riding. The course is continue to improve and it is in the best shape since the tournament 2007.

The course is in great shape, playing a bit long but in great shape. Greens are the best in town at the moment, they're rolling so good! It's a must play right now.

Best condition in years. Right now it is definitely in top 10 in Piedmont. Tight fairways and smoot greens. Two thumbs up!

Course is in fantastic shape. Pace of play was a little slow but it was very crowded. I had a single tee time and there was a group of three teeing off right behind me. I ask if they wanted to join so they would not have to wait on me all day. Great group of guys who play out there a lot.

Staff was very friendly. I paid $55 bucks for 18 with a cart and a bucket of balls. You cannot beat that price. because the course was in great shape-- especially with the volume of traffic.,

This course used to host the Greater Greensboro Open back in the day-- which is cool. The guys I played with said it fell into disrepair a while back but two local guys purchase the course and have put a lot of money into it.

My home course is closed for renovations until October. However, I will be playing Forest Oak until it reopens and then some. Frankly, I have payed a lot more $$ for a much worse course.

Had no knowledge the back 9 would be closed due to fairway aerification. Since this was our entire foursomes first time playing here we were very disappointed we couldn’t play all 18 holes of this storied course. Have watched many GGO’s and was looking forward to playing where so many tour pros had played. Would go back if all 18 holes available.

Course is in great condition, however if your Tee time is after 4pm there are no rain checks allowed

I was really impressed with this course. Great Ellis Maples design. Very fair, but a good challenge from the blue tees. Outstanding value as I only paid $30 on a Friday afternoon walking. Greens were in great shape, but pretty slow compared to what I’m used to. One extra cut and roll would make them great.
