Blair Park Golf Course
About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

Good course
Fun course to play. Not extremely challenging but has enough character and trouble spots to keep you honest.
Good For WEEKDAY ROUND
decent public municipal course that offers "good weekday round" at an EXCELLENT VALUE (price)
Good course for the money
Good course to play for the money , all the par 3's were challenging
Typical municipal course...lousy
Tee boxes were weed filled & poorly maintained. Fairways needed major attention. Perhaps later into the season with work, it could be a decent tract, because the layout, while simple, could be interesting for the average player. All in all, not a good example of a top notch municipal course. Based on course descriptions, I expected better.
Very Slow play
This Course very often has flights out with more than 4 players! It happens to me now the second time this year that there was a flight of 5 players in front of me holding up everybody!! There is a ranger out there but he is doing nothing to speed up play!!
Blair Park Golf Course
The fairways were very wet due to all the recent rain and it was carts on path ONLY so it took just over 4 hours to play 18 holes. The Greens were in GREAT shape.
Time of year
The course was I fair shape. You have to remember this is still winter. You may have to move the ball to get on grass.
Home course
Probably have played this course more than any other course in my lifetime. Great value. Good conditions for a muni. Can get crowded on the weekend. Great beginners course but......that can slow down play and random neighborhood kids will stroll through the course as a shortcut from time to time. Good value on Golfnow or at regular rate.
11/21/14
As of 11/21/14 the course was in great condition for the time of the year. The greens are in good shape and so is much of the course. I use the golf now which makes playing this course between 12-16$ and for that price you can not beat playing here. I've played many courses in the area and for the golfnow price this course is hard to beat. Great open links course which is great for all type of golfers for beginners to more advanced.
Pleasantly surprised
Temp: mid-50's
Wind: 15-20 mph
Leaves swirling, as you'd assume this time of year.
Conditions established, we had a great first experience at Blair Park. The layout is open, with creeks and drainage ditches dissecting the fairways. Greens are in great shape, tho you may need to clean your line due to seasonal leaves. If there were a negative, players should know there are power lines thruout. One of our group hit one, but no other issues. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. When we told them this was our first visit, they were eager to share very helpful course info, so don't be afraid to ask.
We will def go back...soon.
this course is really good for advanced golfers and beginners
really nice course fairways are in great shape greens are rolling great had a good time will go again
Fun course
Love playing this course,I was disappointed when I arrived and found that had punched the greens two days before.I'll be back when they have had a chance to heal.Great course!!!
blair park golf course
I like this course, the openness of the fairway yet challenge able hole location. The fairways and greens are great but the roughs are something else partly due to the balls are hard to find. We only have 2 to 5 mins to locate your ball or take a one stroke penalty. Over all had fun and will play here again and recommend to others.
Blair Park
Good Course for the price. No practice area except a net and then you had to pick the balls out of the net. Easy improvements would make it much better.
Good round
Course is in fantastic shape. The rough needs some attention, and the greens are very slow, but they were forgiving. Very enjoyable round of golf, and for the Hot Deal of $18 for 18 holes, you can't beat it anywhere in the triad.
Powerlines run throughout the course, though. I've hit them in the past, although didn't hit them at all yesterday.
Great course
Always like Blair park. It's like going home. I like the people, the course and the grill staff is great. My golf partner and I always like our rounds at Blair park. Just a great course overall.
awesome for the money
This course was only $12 for me through a coupon, great place to play not to hard but still fun greens were perfect not to hard, fairways were well kept, only thing about this course is a little confusing need more signs telling you were the next hole is. On #11 holed an eagle from about 90 yards away was playing through slow players they witnessed this amasing shot finished the day with par 72 my best score
Cheap Course in Great Shape!
I have played Blair Park several times over the past four years. The course is in the best shape I have ever seen. The fringes of some of the greens were patchy and could use some work but overall, the course was well worth the $11 I paid to play. The pace of play was decent until we caught a slow group on 18. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a cheap round with decent greens. Yes there are better courses in the area, but none more affordable than Blair Park.
