About
Oak Hollow Golf Course is one of two municipally owned golf courses in High Point, N.C. This Pete Dye design is the newer and more popular of the two. The layout features several Dye signatures including pot bunkers and railroad ties but it's the small, undulating greens that are the most recognizable Dye trademark. The golf course has an interesting mix of holes, including several risk-reward opportunities. It's a course that will make you think, rewarding strategy and accuracy over might. The signature hole is the par-4 sixth. This 420-yard hole wraps around a lake with an island tee at the tips that will test the brave. Oak Hollow's toughest hole, though, is the 437-yard 11th, also a par 4. You'll need a perfectly placed tee shot and then after you're met with a triple-tiered green that sits along the water's edge.

First time playing and was paired up with a good guide. 5 o6 holes played 'cart path only' due to wet conditions but the greens were excellent. Great blend of doflegs and quite a few uphill aproach shots. a good test. I think I'll be back. (played again the next day - cart path only due to rain but still very enjoyable). Got to add a shout-out to the staff. they were awsome both days. Thank you folks, you made me feel like I was a member.

Best municipal course I’ve ever been to!!!
This is an excellent course! It has beautiful water features with the lake and enough challenge for beginners and advanced golfers alike. The course is immaculately maintained and the amenities are above par for a municipal course. The staff were very helpful , the pro shop affordable. They offer excellent programs for those new to golf and kids programs. My son is now on his middle school golf team and we play together. This is a great course to play together when we are in town visiting family. We will be back!

Poorly Managed
For as long as I have played here there always seems to be some sort of management issue in getting off the tee. For example, I walked up for my pre-payed tee time and the Starter did not have my name on the tee sheet. After checking with the office, he found my name and said the tee box was all mine.
Now it was a sold out/full tee time on paper, so they would not allow my friend to join me, but I have the tee box all to myself? As I’m walking onto the first green, their office employee races up in a cart followed by an apparent late player. The employee is angry and tells me I did not check into the office, and when I told him to talk to his Starter, he continued to to argue with me.
As I am walking off the ninth, I run into the office employee, he instructs me to check in the office next time, and admits it was the Starters error sending me out. I confronted him about being angry and arguing with me, and how his demeanor had an effect on my play. He says so your blaming your bad round on me?
Let’s get it together Oak Hallow. Your a busy Pete Dye Municipal course, and golfers deserve better organization and professionalism. I am waiting for the supervisor to return my phone call, and would be willing to talk about other incidents that occurred in the past.

Nice public course
Very nice course played in the Winter months so grass was pretty much dead. I'm sure it's beautiful in the spring plan on playing it again.

Local Muni Gem
This course is more difficult than you might think at first glance. With the water everywhere, the trees and the wind (which comes up at times) you will be challenged to hit it straight here. Winter conditions not ideal but still enjoyable and the greens are not easy, either due to slope or small size.
