Love this course. Challenging but not impossible to play for the average golfer. Love the layout. Always in good shape. Pretty wet today but we have had a lot of rain. Still playable.

Great place to play,just drainage for water was poor

Unfortunately we played on a day, the course was so wet. We just slopped around in the mud. Starting time was late. We were told there was a grill to get lunch, but the doors were not open. Nice course , if it wasn’t so wet

Do not play this course after a lot of rain or you will sink up to your ankles in mud. It does not drain well

Course was wet due to alot of rain, but, I've played there many times, course has many challenging holes. Greens were in good shape. Roughs are thick and make shots difficult. Definitely a course to play. And have a pint at the new 19th hole.

Played this course and had a great time ! The staff was awesome , they found out this was my first time playing at this course and they went over and beyond to make it a great experience. I will recommend this course to everyone and will be back soon !

Yes, there was light to moderate rain for a day and a half prior. However, the condition this course was in with almost 24 dry hours was poor. Apparently, according to guys I paired up with, this happens a lot. This is unfortunate, because the layout was nice. Maybe after a month long dry spell, this course will be in better condition. My ball became plugged in the fairway and on the fringe multiple times, just to give example of how boggy the course was. Otherwise, it’s a nice track; allowing walkers would be another nice thing.

Course was in great shape, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were excellent. There are some unique holes that make it fun to play. I can’t wait to play it again.

Nice place to play. Greens are finally in good shape and the fairways and tee boxes mowed the way it should be. Club house, range and putting green are in great shape. Come out and play Emerald Lake, good value and staff is always acomadating.

I have played this course alot over the years and have always enjoyed it! Unfortunately the last two times we played, one of their older caucasion ground keepers has deliberately chosen to run the mower around us while we are putting on last par 5 on the front that dog legs to the right. I think it's hole number 5. He then followed us to hole number 6 and was cutting at the fringe while we were putting. He never turned the mower off or moved away from the green even when he had the blades lifted. The noise mower was running right beside us as we all lined up our "birdie" or par putts.

The 2nd time we played he had the same headphones in and we had to flag him down again to get him to stop. He never moved but just lifted the blades but the noise was still a distraction. He was so close that he could have been mistaken as a 5th player without the lawn mover. We then moved to the 7th hole after hole number 6 and he did the exact same thing. We got his attention and he let it be known through his attitude that he didn't want to stop, nor did he care to for that matter. So basically he believes cutting the grass right beside the green while paying customers are putting is acceptable.

One good thing to note, after contacting the pro shop, they did come out an address this with him and apologized to us for the inconvenience and issue caused by the groundskeeper. I believe it was Josh that explained to us what he should have done while we were putting and we were able to see him speak with him about it from a distance.

I am really surprised that there is not a starter here on a regular basis. I had a 12:39 tee time as a single. I wasn’t told if the other guys had shown up or not. So I went to warm up and kept looking for a starter. But what I saw was players going off at their own leisure. I saw three straight twosomes tee off. I did go off a few minutes early with a threesome. The group ahead of us was extremely slow hitting more than their share of shots for a score of par. For 13 holes we watched and waited. Finally, we let another twosome play through. Immediately they started yelling and hitting into the group. It was not a good day because I did not expect to play a five hour round on a Thursday. But there was no Marshall keeping up the pace or starter pairing up groups to ensure things moved along smoothly.

Everything about this course is top notch...except it took my dad and I 5 hours to play 18. It didn’t seem like anyone is particular was holding us up but it still shouldn’t take 5 hours on a weekday. That being said, I love playing here and will continue to play here again, just not as a twosome or by myself.

Wow. We had a great time We kept course. Fun to play.

Had an enjoying day on a course that was in very good shape. No negatives to report.

The greens had been aerated so the puts and holes impacted putting. The pace of play was slow. But for the cost it ranks if you want work your swing rhythm and ball placement.
