Good course conditions as usual
The greens rolled well. I’m always impressed with the maintenance of the greens.
Good course... better value
Overall the course is in really good shape. Green were exceptionally in really good shape.
Hidden Gem
I only found this course because it was close to where my company put me up for a job in Charlotte. Great course with two different nines. Front is tight but short, back is more forgiving but you won't make up strokes there. The greens are true, they aren't as slow as they look or as fast as you think they would be.
Great value
Course was in good shape. Greens are in great shape. The course itself is a great layout... very forgiving. I will definitely add Monroe CC as to one course in my rotation of play.
Course they is in below average condition April 2025
I’ve played this course many times over the past year and greens and most of the course is in below average condition as of April 2025…. This course and its greens were in excellent condition all of last summer. Still enjoy the course but it probably peaks closer to June given the Bermuda Grass fairways.

Recently moved to Matthews. I’ve played it twice. Very challenging greens! Course is managed very well. It will be on the list of courses to play. Trying to get into a ince a week rhythm. Thank you.

I enjoyed the layout. Tough front nine with the classic Donald Ross layout of smaller elevated greens that flow off dramatically. Back nine unknown architect to me flattened out and becomes a bit less of a challenge..
Course conditions were fair for this time of year and greens were consistent.
Played with a member and a couple ladies one who worked there. Overall pretty nice!
Must Play
Had a great round of golf the other day! Some of the best/purest greens around! The fairways and rough will be much better in a few weeks as we roll up in better weather! Fair the amount of rain we have been seeing the course was great and at a fair price point! I will return!
Great course and always worth the drive!
Not much to say here, other than that Monroe never disappoints. It’s not a long course and most of the course’s defense is in the greens, which can get diabolically fast. As a general rule, leave the ball below the hole or you will pay!
