Monroe Golf

Pace of play was slow 2:45 to play 9 holes. The staff was friendly and gave us rain check for 9 holes at later date. Thank you MCC staff!

Good greens, very different nines

I play here just a few times per year. I like the back nine more than the front. Greens and fairways are in good shape but very wet on this day with CPO. Driving range is a mile away. Clubhouse renovation in progress.

Good summer shape

Summer rains have washed out some areas but this is a great course for the price. Front is a better design (Ross) and drains better than back 9. Greens running true and medium speed. Pace of play was very good until I ran into a 5-some, not ideal. Always enjoy MCC.

Great

Got a lot of rain previously and was cart path only. The ranger evaluated course conditions and changed to 90 degrees Great that staff acknowledged the conditions and changed it during the round.

MONROE IN THE SUMMER

I personally don't mind playing in the heat and humidity for two reasons. 1, There is no one on the course, 2. I play better when my body is warmed up. This course is a tail ovlf two sides. The front 9 is a Donald Ross coirse; narrow and tough tough greens. The back side has more birdie chances. The layout is great, challenging but not too challenging. There was a cart person driving around for food and drinks. I would highly recommend this course to anyone. I saw reviews about the slow play but as I stated earlier, I was able to play both rounds on a Monday and Wednesday in under 3 hours.

Course is in great shape - slow play.

I’ve played this course four of five times over the course of three summers. Every time I have played it has been great conditions. The greens are near perfect and roll true. The front nine is packed tightly together and the greens have lots of slope to them. My only complaint is the pace. It’s always slow and this time was dreadful. If you play here, expect to wait on every single shot right off the first tee. For some reason it tends to attract golfers that get their money’s worth in shots!

Solid Course - Always Consistently In Great Shape.

Currently renovating which is great but always causes things to be hectic. Course is always in great shape. Little upset they punched the greens and we had no idea. However I will say they did an absolutely amazing job making sure the greens still rolled pretty good considering they had been recently punched.
