Monroe Country Club

Course is in good shape, though greens had some residual sand from apparently being aerated. Some fairways reminded me a bit of some carpet like fairways up north in upper tier golf courses. Worth going to.

Found out when we got there that the back 9 was closed. They never posted this, happened again the prior time that my group went. Will not play here again.

The elevated greens always present a challenge. This time, the greens were not holding the approach shot. Greens rolled true, were medium speed. Fairways were a little long, maybe due to the amount of recent rain. Roughs were long. Sand traps were hard packed.

The course was very nice and in great shape! It’s pretty tough to hit the very small greens here and they are pretty quick too but roll true! Challenging for the good golfers and tougher for the higher handicappers. Will go back, playing a second time may help knowing where to miss and what to expect on some blind shots.

This course is almost always in fantastic condition, from the tee boxes to the greens. The customer service is A1, you would be hard pressed to find a better golf experience for the money

The course was in very good condition. The staff was friendly. Great value good

Fairways were green and for the most part pretty firm. The greens were a little softer than I’d like and incredibly quick but were consistent and well maintained. A couple holes are extremely punishing to an airy tee shot but for the most part of you make a poor tee shot you’ll find your ball and have a somewhat realistic shot. Probably going to make this my go to course because the price and conditions are great.

I will say the only knock on this course is that the driving range and the back nine are a little confusing to get too. Ask around if you are confused the frequent local players will assist.

First time playing this course on 6/24/22. Great conditions. Greens were perfect and that is an understatement. I’ve played many high end courses and these greens would compete with anywhere. Nice fairways and a good challenging layout. The front nine is much harder than the back in my opinion simply because of the small elevated greens. You really have to play to certain sides of the green to score well and know where to miss. A really fun course that I will return to.
