Great value.
Monroe Country Club is a well kept course and is more like a country club than a municipally run course. The greens are beautiful and the starter was very helpful in explaining some of the nuances in playing the course.
Great Local Course, Friendly Staff
I took my 14 year old son and his friend late on a Sunday as they are both learning the game. The staff was understanding and accommodating. The course is in good shape. But beware, the greens here are very small. That is no knock on the course, just a fact. Again the staff was very friendly, the pace of play was good and the course conditions were good.

Good as always. Probably one of the better Charlotte metro courses right now. Always on my look out for t times
Small greens, inconvenient range
Interesting layout, but small, fast greens. Careful shot placement required. Greens rolled well. I didn’t realize the range was like 2 miles away from the clubhouse so I took the first 8 holes to warm up. Good value for walking, but I won’t be making the trek back out from charlotte.
Donald Ross
Lots of roll. Course extremely dry. Donald Ross greens are turtle backs and putting is tricky. I enjoy that challenge. Greens were also recently aerated so a bit bumpy. I understand course must be maintained. The tee boxes are not in good shape. My opinion is that they should be watered more and maintained better. Just my opinion. It is a very nice layout and challenging. It’s what every decent golfer wants and expects. Staff is great. Overall a nice experience. Just needs more water. My opinion.
