Great greens
Fairways and roughs were in winter condition. Sand traps were hard packed due to recent rains. Several areas of the fairways were water logged. Greens held the approach shot well, rolled true, were medium fast speed.
Great Course
Great weekday round, quick pace and great greens. A few of the pins were on crazy slopes but everything else was great. Only negative is the range is pure sand and 5 mins from the pro shop so I’d recommend just going straight to the course.
Excellent greens
Course is okay for winter conditions. Greens held the approach shot, rolled true, were moderate speed.
Must play
This golf course is worth every penny paid to play. I played for the first time in January under north Carolina winter conditions and it was a joy to play. Greens were excellent but small, which means you better watch your approach shots. Other than that...you will really enjoy playing this golf course and I highly recommend it if you are in North Carolina and around the Charlotte area. I give it 5 stars.
Championship Greens
When I read that the greens were tough, I was like.....ok, we’ll see. Ladies and gentlemen, if you are not ready for it these greens will eat you alive. I’m a single digit handicap and whoa mama......they were fast and hard to hold from your approach. The stimpmeter must have been an 11 or 12 that day. Course played easy that day but the greens killed me. Very fun and can’t wait to try again. I’ve played some great courses, PGA courses too and these greens are just as fast and hard to stick. I feel bad for the high handicapper. Practice your putting before you tee off :)
