River Ridge Golf Club

I don’t believe the dollar amount paid was worth the value I received. The guy in the pro sop was not friendly. It seemed to be a good old boys club. I haven’t played the course in nearly twenty years and it could be that long before I play it again. However, the course itself was in good condition and offered a challenging experience.

RR is one of the best deals you'll find in the Raleigh area. It's simply unbeatable for the price. Course conditions are amazingly consistent, and you really can't ask for anything better. If the greens were about 1.0 faster on the stimpmeter, you could easily compare it to any private course in the area. The staff is very friendly, the carts are practically new, and one of the best perks is that the range balls are free. Just remember to hit it below the hole because the greens are well sloped, and downhill putts are treacherous.

This is one of the best courses I've played in the Raleigh area. Excellent condition, challenging layout, very accommodation staff and friendly patrons.

Had an early Tee time- other than the 4some in front of me (they let me pass on hole 4) I ran through the course in 2.5 hrs.

Greens are perfect - yet dont' play such a hard break. Greens are quick - I like

River Ridge is in great shape. The greens roll true and quick and hold approach shots. There were even ball marks to repair! The pre or post round practice facility and balls is included in the green fee and is very good, with a practice chipping and bunker area as well as multiple targets on the range.

Love the Pace of Play—2:30/aka 2.5-hour 18-hole round on a Thursday !!

Greens were still Sandy so 4**** ¡¡

Still my fave course in N. Raleigh that’s 20-minutes away from 27612(door to tee box)

They had recently top dressed the greens, so they were a little sandy, but they still rolled very well. RR has some of the hilliest greens in the area, and if you're above the hole, good luck. The course was in great shape, and I shot one of my best scores ever. No complaints.

Went out by myself and could tee off early with an other two some.

Had a wonderful relaxing round, some challenging weather coming through and overall enjoyed the course very much. Often wide enough and forgiving enough to score good. For $ 35 including cart and range balls a fantastic DEAL. Good pace of play! Hope to go out again soon.

Great place but seemed like the tee times may have been a little close. I think the weather temp may have played a little into as well as it was 90

River Ridge is in great shape, even after the recent rains. A few traps had standing water but otherwise were appropriately groomed. The greens rolled true and smooth after holding iron shots well.

Nice layout with some challenging holes. Variety of fairways and par 3's.
