We had a screw up with our tee time and the staff went above and beyond to fix it. Great Customer Service!

Played first time at Wilmar on Labor Day. Grat weather day, course was packed. Got a tee time through GolfNow as a single. Pro Shop folks and starter great. Course in good condition. Pace of play was slow. Waited on almost every tee box and 2nd shot into greens. Saw a ranger but pace never picked up. Layout is old school, but fine. Greens are old style Bermuda, good shape but slow.

Nothing really wrong with course, but I'd avoid if you know it will be crowded and do not want to wait.

People were friendly and helpful. Course was in great shape. I like improvements they have made. The weather did not cooperate. Fine when we started, but electrical storm and heavy rain came in after 9 and cut short our round.

Haven't played Wil-Mar in many many years but a friend played recently and recommended that I give it another chance, so...

We played from the tips and it was a challenge. I was very surprised at the new quality of greens and fairways. Some of the improvements were subtle but evident.

I never thought I'd say this but I'll be back. For $27 on a Saturday afternoon...you can't beat it.

This was not my first time playing this course, both times I had terrible interactions with the starter and/or ranger. I decided to give this course another shot recently and that was a mistake.

I would say the layout and conditions of the actual course are a little below average. However, the staff (more specifically the starter) needs a lesson in hospitality. All patrons expect to be treated with a certain level of respect and dignity; especially when we are paying money to play. With that being said I'm not expecting 5 star treatment, just good service and friendliness. This was not the case on the first tee. As I pulled up to the tee I was immediately harassed as to why I had a personal cooler. I know this rule is the norm for most courses, but I have also played a fair amount of courses that don't have a policy around this. Therefore, I always pack a few suds just in case. The starter immediately rose his voice and scolded me as if I were a delinquent who was out there trying to cause a scene "Return that back to your vehicle! Or we will fine you!!!" This is not the way a paying customer expects to be treated. On top of that, he was talking in our back swings while we were trying to tee off. This isn't the PGA tour so a little noise doesn't bother me, but have some respect for your customers. We were also told that we had to keep our receipts handy in case the ranger wanted to verify that we had paid while we were out on the course. This is normal on the first tee but not while I'm on number 13 green staring down my 7 foot bogey putt. At any minute I felt like we would be pulled aside and searched to make sure we had proper credentials and no paraphernalia.

I will never make a trip out to this course again based solely on how I was treated by the outside staff. I hope management makes an effort to appropriately train their employees so other players don't get the same kind of treatment. I'm sure I wasn't the first and wont be the last.

Fun course and great people

Just moved to Raleigh so I'm trying to make it a point to play every course around. This was my first and I was very impressed. Staff was very nice and gave me a yardage book for free to help me out. Course was in great shape and the greens rolled beautiful! Definitely going back soon!

Everyone on staff is friendly. Course was in good condition when I played, especially the fairways. Only fuss would be the greens weren't in the best condition, fluffy, slow, bumpy. I am a weekend warrior just trying to get some practice in and this course suited my needs fine.

I left work and needed to unwind so I thought I would play golf. I chose Wilmar because it is accessible to Raleigh and I enjoyed my previous visit. I enjoyed it even more on this particular evening. The course is in excellent shape, the tees for women, I feel, are aptly placed and it made for a great evening of golf. The people are friendly and very helpful. I was golfing alone and the people golfing in front of me were very kind in letting me play through. All in all, I had a great time

It was a great time on a wonderful day. There was a kids tournament going on at the same time, and the staff handled it very well. Thanks for the GREAT service.

Course was in good condition, greens rolled out nicely, a little slow. Course layout is simple without a lot of trouble, pretty open, good for a beginner..

This course could be a lot better if the rangers were more present and enforcing of pace of play.

Excellent Course at a Great Value. The course looks great; fairways green and filled-in, and the greens are in great shape. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Great Place to play; at a reasonable price. Try it! I bet you will like it!

I played there years ago and the greens had weeds in them. Now the fairways and greens were almost perfect! Great value for the money. Will be back soon.

The course was challenging especially on the back nine and was in great shape. I Will play it again in the future

Convenient value and to be a public course.

WilMar is in the best condition that I've seen it all year. The greens had no bare spots, the fairways were full and the rough was up! New sand has been added to the bunkers. The new Bogeys Grill is quite impressive.

This isn't the most difficult course in the area but provides a good challenge at a very reasonable green fee. They are aerifying the greens on 7/5-6.

I've played this course several times. It in the best shape that I've seen.

Greens were in very good shape, fairways were OK too (only a few thin spots), rough was not too rough. The sand traps looked well maintained to me (no standing water, no washed-out areas), and the tee boxes were just aerated so I'll withhold judgement. Not many water hazards. I played well, so I didn't have to play out of any bunkers, and was not in the woods, but they seemed playable. Gas carts. Card includes hole diagrams. I played on a Thursday right after lunch, so the course was mostly empty. I played from the back tees, and didn't have to hit driver on a number of par-4s but there were a couple long par-3s, so enough of a challenge for me!
