Course was in good shape. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were able to book a Sunday afternoon tee time the day of with no difficulty. The price was more than fair to include a cart (would be the cart fee alone at most courses). The course is very short and the holes are close to one another so we were able to play very quickly with no waiting. There's not a lot of need for a driver on most of the par 4's. The fairways and rough are well maintained while the greens are not. You will typically get a playable lie from the rough and there aren't a lot of places to lose a ball. The greens are similar to a shag carpet with several of them featuring burnt up spots but you have to keep your expectations in check for the rate. Just putt it harder than you think you should. Wasn't the first time playing the course and won't be the last.

Course play was slow and the greens were really slow. Starter was incredible rude and will make me stay clear from this course in the future. Course was in decent condition with the exception of the greens but a bit pricey for the quality.

Wil-Mar is not what I would consider a class A course, however it did provide an easy, fluid experience. It is not the most challenging course, but for the cost of a round it is worth 4 stars. The only issue I had was that the greens were not in the best shape. Considering a $20-30 round of 18 I cant knock them too much on this fact. Overall I would recommend checking it out if you are a local.

A good golfing experience and a great value. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The food is good. Really enjoy the course layout. The pace of play is great.

I have played here many times and it is the first time I have had to say that couse conditions were poor at best. The greens were in terrible condition and if it wasn't for weeds the fairways would have been bare. This course needs alot of work to bring it back to a quality golf course.

The staff was excellent , course was in decent shape , a few greens were bumpie . But all in all a good course

I really like this course and have played there 3-4 times this month. Course is in pretty good shaped, however the greens could use some love. Speeds kind of vary with the varying conditions of the greens. Other than that, nice course especially on a deal price but would also pay full price to play this course.

Parking is a nightmare, arrived an hour before the tee time and still parking was an issue, staff was not welcoming at all! Only played 11 of the 18 holes I paid for because an off the clock ranger having a bad day decided to harass my disabled hubby so we left feeling cheated and unwanted! Have never left in the middle of a round like that and have never been treated so awful will never go back!

Older course in decent shape. Greens were inconsistent. Will be better has grass grows in. For the price a good value. Played 18 in under 3 hours.

The staff was great and friendly, but the course was in pretty bad shape, all but 2 of the tee box's had NO grass.....none!!!! It's bad when the grass is better on the driving range then on your tee box's.

great course just need maintenance

To play golf in shorts, in February, in North Carolina, was a treat. I was with my son-in-law, and the course hooked us up with a great guy to play with. The pace of play was better then I thought, due to the nice day, and it being a public course that would get a lot based on the weather.

it started out with dirty, broken restrooms, signs everywhere and reminders that they aren't fans of GolfNow, then was the starter who was beyond rude and not at all helpful, tee boxes that are dead (granted it is December), poor drainage, greens that were dying, fuzzy, and literally checkerboard because of terrible laying of sod, and finally a marshal who didn't push the groups in front which resulted in a 4.5 hr round. There are too many courses in NC to spend even the hot deal price on this one.

The course has come along way since 8 years ago when I first started playing there,
The are constantly working on the course.
And as far as I am concerned Wilmar is one of the best public courses in the area.

The course is very scenic requiring accurate iron play. The bermuda greens had be baffled. Reading the break and speed was a challenge. It was a great day in NC and all had fun. We will play the course again!

Very nice course, would definitely play there again

My wife and I had a 1:45 tee time thinking we could play 18 holes i n 3 and 1/2 hours. What a disappointment. Golf Now and Wil MAr should not be selling tee times after 12 noon for this time of year. After teeing off 15 minutes late because of the the crowd, waited on nearly every shot . We finished 11 holes before it was getting too dark for us.
Wil Mar and all these courses here should not be selling tee times after 12 noon.

Course in nice shape. Staff is very nice and accommodating. One of my favorite places to play when in Raleigh. Good value at Golf Now price. Playing course in the fall is a little challenging even in the fairway due to fallen leaves. Had a great time. Definitely will be back.

The course designer made this course with a nice mix of hole layouts. The greens were in great condition. The 2 short par 4's on the back nine are harder than they look! The starter shuffled the tee times and allowed my son and I to play with another father and son, thoughtful.
