Decent
A little run down but decent. It is showing its age with the clubhouse and inconsistent greens.

Round in the Rain
Greens were very good, but slow due to height of the grass. Fairways good, but wet due to rain requiring 90 degree rule. Nice outing.

Wil-Mar
Best I have seen the course. Last time I played was back in early summer 2015 and course was in bad shape from winter. Today it looked good, fairways, sand traps, greens. There were two greens that are almost back to good. Overall I would recco this course.

Like coming home
Wonderful staff. Very friendly and accommodating. Try the chicken salad sandwich. No doubt! Pace is a little deliberate. Lots of seniors, not a bad thing. Course conditions were excellent. I signed up as a single and got paired with a threesome of great guys. I alwAys meet good folks at wil mar. No worries here!

Not Impressed
saw good reviews of improvement. not sure how bad it was but it ain't that great now. staff was rude except for the starter. the course was just not maintained very well.

Good course lay out
The course was in great shape. Greens were in great shape but slow. The person cutting the holes was leaving a ridge around every hole. The ball would either stop right at the hole or break off at the ridge. He was cutting the hole too deep and the top of the cup was 2 inches below grade causing the ridge around the hole.Other than that the greens and course were in great shape. The starter which was an older guy was kinda arogant. Would definitely play again.

Beautiful course
Everyone is really friendly and the course is always in great shape, provided mother nature doesn't get her way. The price is a tad high but it is nicer than the courses around it.

Monday golf
Wil-Mar was a good surprise. Even though the weather didn't cooperate and the course was a little wet, we enjoyed the course. We are already planning on returning to play. (In dryer conditions).

A great place to play
Wil-Mar is a fun,playable layout which is in great condition. They staff is very friendly. Food and drink are reasonably priced and the quality is excellent.

Hidden Treasure
Course is in great shape, both the greens and fairways. Moderately challenging, with several unique holes with some water hazards and frequent bunkers. A good challenge, but with a careful placement of a few shots, you can score. Great value, not crowded, which is rare for a course so close to downtown Raleigh.

Hidden Treasure
Outstanding course with excellent greens and fairways. Course was challenging, but played fairly enough to score. Staff was friendly and the course was not crowded like some other urban courses in Raleigh. Will definitely go again, as the fees were more than reasonable.

Good first time
We enjoyed a pleasant Sunday afternoon playing the course for the first time. The course was overall in very good shape, with my only real complaint about condition being greens that were coarse and pretty slow. My main gripe was slow pace of play, with our round taking about 5 hours...

-VERY FRIENDLY PRO SHOP STAFF
-Fairways and roughs in pretty good shape for the amount of people that play here.
-Great course design, fun!
Cons
-Lots of people that don't play golf come here and don't understand course etiquette.
-Greens are pretty beat up
-pace is rather slow

Great Fairways, Slow Greens
Fun round on a Saturday morning. Wil-Mar is a great value in the Triangle. Many of the area courses took a beating with winter kill in the fairways. Wil-Mar is one of the few courses where fairways survived without damage. The greens are very slow, which is typical on popular public courses.

Friendly Players
Went as a single but got paired up with Zach from Wake Forest and a couple of guys riding together. I wasn't sure if we were compatible in terms of playing skill and friendliness, but we had a good time. The rangers were also friendly and engaging.
