Sanford Golf Course

This was my first time on the course. It is very well maintained. It has a few turns that challenge you to pace your swing. There is not much water, so risk of losing a ball is minimal. Overall fun, fair, and easy on the wallet.

Driving range is also inexpensive, but bucket is smaller than some so you might want 2 buckets. Snacks were very reasonable and plentiful. I will be back.

Played in under 4 hours. Course in fine condition. Greens are grainy but I love that

This course was great overall.

The fairway was well managed, but the green was narrow and the ball speed was late.

Course could be very nice if the fairways were watered and the greens mowed

Love playing this course! Beautiful setting. Some challenge but not horrible. Great layout!

Need to address some mud hazards on #11.

This course is a reasonable layout for a Muni. I would not recommend playing after any significant rainfall as we experienced the night before. There is virtually no drainage because the course is primarily clay. Even the elevated areas are completely wet and difficult to play without getting splashed. I need to skip a hole to get around a foursome who were playing cart path only. Walked off after 8 holes and they suggested that I request that Golf Now provide a rain check/refund. Although the course was open for play it was virtually unplayable. The practice area is always closed around rain events as the area is totally submerged. Please advise about a refund.

Sanford’s a fun course to play. I enjoy the doglegs and the Ross small greens. Tricky trying to keep your chips from rolling off. 😂 Great value and friendly staff.
