About
Resort Course at Talamore Golf Resort is a Rees Jones masterpiece that was nominated as "Best New Public Course of the Year" when opened and has become a regular stop for annual returnees to Pinehurst.
The centuries-old tradition of using llamas to help humans carry packs has been revived with a new twist at Talamore. These gentle, hardy animals can carry two bags of clubs with ease and sure-footedness. Their soft padded feet are kind to the delicate surfaces of a golf course. Fair track, fun layout
Good track. The greens are tough, getting to them not as much. You can score here if you have the flat stick working. Staff was friendly. I played in the winter for $50; not sure I'd love it as much at the regular $100+ rate.

Great course but no notice driving range was closed at time of booking

Do not play Right now !!!
When we arrived at the course, I was unaware of the course being under repaired as there were no Golf Now alerts. Immediately after the pro shop received my money( 138$ for two), they THEN chose to tell me that the driving green was unusable, the second hole was closed, many of the bunkers were closed and they had grounds repair crews practically on every hole. We had to drive to another course to warm up and then return to play. It’s a shame that a course of this caliber could not have told us this beforehand but after they had already received my money. This was a gift and was a sure disappointing one.

Only issue is that there was no warning that the range was under repair and could not warm up.

One of the best in the area
I love this course and I promise you it won’t disappoint. They are doing bunker work on 17 and it was closed but it didn’t take away from the round one but. Greens are smooth and fast as always and will challenge even the best putters. Will definitely be back soon

Course has so much to offer , many hidden holes and lost of bunkers deep bunkers, I love this course great experience and lots of demanding Cary holes , 18 hole very beautiful big carry over water phew I made it …

Good course but 4.50 to play on a Tuesday is too long.
The initial interaction with the pro shop staff was very friendly, as was the starter. The course has quite a bit of elevation change and the greens are swift and true with plenty of movement. Good mix of long and short holes. All told a fun course to play, challenging but not overly hard. But……beginning on the second tee we waited on every shot the entire day except the 16th and 17th when in the fading daylight the group in front picked up the pace. We waited again on 18 because a group cut in front from 15 to 18 so they could finish before dark, resulting in further delays for our two foursomes, and our second having to putt out in the dark.
Very nice course, ruined by the pace of play. The course is in dire need of on course player assistance personnel (formerly known as Marshalls) to keep play moving. From the 7th hole onward the gps on the cart was flashing red that we were more than 15 minutes behind pace, but apparently this is not monitored by staff so our foursome laughed over the flashing red while we watched the group in front slower and slower. Still all things considered, a good course for the late fall pricing.

Course conditions are very good and the greens and tee boxes are excellent. It's amazing how incredibly rare it is to find tee boxes that are flat and level! Thank you Talamore for that!!
I played as a single so I can't complain about pace, but I played the front in 1:20 and the back nine in 3:10. It's a hard course and everyone seemed to be keeping pace.
Because of the time of the year I was able to play for about half of the regular rack rate. At this price it is a great value. At their regular rack rate, it's too expensive for me. While the fall weather is excellent it's a good chance to play Talamore!

Good layout. Challenging greens. In very good shape. Very busy so play was slow. I would play the course again.
