About
Resort Course at Talamore Golf Resort is a Rees Jones masterpiece that was nominated as "Best New Public Course of the Year" when opened and has become a regular stop for annual returnees to Pinehurst.
The centuries-old tradition of using llamas to help humans carry packs has been revived with a new twist at Talamore. These gentle, hardy animals can carry two bags of clubs with ease and sure-footedness. Their soft padded feet are kind to the delicate surfaces of a golf course. Known for their friendly and quiet manners, llamas make the perfect caddies. Now you can treat yourself and your friends to a truly distinctive golf experience.

Worth the money
Staff was friendly and helpful. Super golf course for all levels of players. Course was in great shape although the greens were sanded making putting a bit more difficult to figure out the actual speed. My sense is that when they are normal speed they are quick.. I will definitely play it again when I come back to Pinehurst.. KLW
Bad policy
Book a tee time with Golf Now on Thursday to play on next day Friday at 9:30 am.
Drove from Raleigh international airport to the course and it was pouring rain ( wiper FULL blast) all the way to the course. ( Forecast was 30 % rain only )
Got to the pro shop at 9 am and asking if we can (twosomes) can tee off later , hoping the rain will subside and allow the course to drain . There is no way you can putt on the green! There were only two cars ( including my car) in the parking lot . Asked if we can tee off later but the staff said he cannot accommodate because the golf deal was for 9:30 am . I would understand if the course was busy but two cars in the parking lot !! Rally ! Cannot accommodate? Since I paid in advance, They got my $ , that’s all matter to them !

Nice course.
First time playing it. Paired up with a couple. Very enjoyable. Course is in very good shape. Cart path only today, will learn how to hit closer to the cart path. No cart person, would like to see a few more water kegs. Just bring your putting game. YOU WILL NEED IT.

Beautiful course
Course is super fun to play and in grat shape. The course is beautiful start to finish. They where packed when we got there but we had no issue with course play everyone moved right along

Worth a Drivefrom SC
A friend recommended the course. Only warning was the fast greens. Was perfect to play US Open green conditions during the Open. The rest of the course was in gregreat shape with only a couple of white tee boxes needing attention.

Great course layout. Greens are great equalizer. Don’t miss short in bunkers as greens run away from bunkers. Nothing tricky.. it’s in front of you. Nice staff. Great condition. It’s a good challenge to any golfer.

Greens are Excellent
A very fun layout if you play from the correct tees.
Fairways were a little soft from recent rains so minimal rollout.. Greens were perfect....faster than they looked!
Pace was ok at 4 1/2 hrs.
