About
Resort Course at Talamore Golf Resort is a Rees Jones masterpiece that was nominated as "Best New Public Course of the Year" when opened and has become a regular stop for annual returnees to Pinehurst.
The centuries-old tradition of using llamas to help humans carry packs has been revived with a new twist at Talamore. These gentle, hardy animals can carry two bags of clubs with ease and sure-footedness. Their soft padded feet are kind to the delicate surfaces of a golf course. Worth a Drivefrom SC
A friend recommended the course. Only warning was the fast greens. Was perfect to play US Open green conditions during the Open. The rest of the course was in gregreat shape with only a couple of white tee boxes needing attention.

Course was in great condition. Greens were fast and firm. It’s been quite a while since I’ve played the course and it’s definitely one of the best in Pinehurst area!

Great course layout. Greens are great equalizer. Don’t miss short in bunkers as greens run away from bunkers. Nothing tricky.. it’s in front of you. Nice staff. Great condition. It’s a good challenge to any golfer.

Greens are Excellent
A very fun layout if you play from the correct tees.
Fairways were a little soft from recent rains so minimal rollout.. Greens were perfect....faster than they looked!
Pace was ok at 4 1/2 hrs.

Typical Parkland course
Nice layout with wide enough fairways. Hit 12 FIRs and 12 GIRs and Shot 74 from the White tees. Pace of play was great. Biggest disappointment was forgetting to see the
Llamas off the 14th fairway!

First time playing the course and it was awesome! Staff was super friendly and informative about the history of course. They spaced the tee times really well making the pace of play a joy. We finished our 18 in just under 4 hours!

Beautiful course and friendly staff!
It has been at least 15 years since I last played Talamore, and I was excited to return, and my excitement paid off. The course was serene and stunning, and it was in as good of shape as any I've played. The houses aren't intrusive, and the pine trees give it a feel of privacy and beauty You can tell the course gets a lot of play with the remnants of ball marks all over the greens, but they were mostly cleaned up nicely, and the greens were hard and fast with a lot of breaking putts. Make sure you leave your ball below the hole, or you might do what we did a couple of times and putt it right off the surface. The staff was very, very friendly, including the pro shop, main bartender, the halfway house, and starter (who had stories to tell). The valet was a bit rushed, but reasonable. Maintenance staff was visible (and playable) working on bunkers on a few holes, but that's expected for a Thursday. Pace of play was great. As a threesome, we had no waiting at all and no one pushing us. Make sure you check out the llamas - Talamore's signature - on hole 14.
