MetroWest Golf Club
About
This Robert Trent Jones Sr. design is one of the area’s most venerable venues. The fluid beauty of MetroWest provides for a challenging but playable experience. Wide rolling fairways give all levels of players the opportunity to find the short grass, and the four sets of tees working from 7,051 yards down to the 5,325-yard forward tees make hitting greens in regulation a reasonable endeavor. No push over, though, bunkers seem to anchor every corner on every dogleg and elevation changes of up to 100 feet in some circumstances tug back in the course’s favor.

Needs Management Assistance
Overall, the course is in good playable conditions. I often wonder why their website and GolfNow always has most tea spots open. These are my assumptions:
* several tee boxes are all chewed up with no grass. They need to move the tee markers more regularly.
* they’re trying to fool the tourist by charging over $70 to play. At best, this is still a $40-$45 golf course.
its BACK
Metrowest is in as good as shape as I have scene in 15? years. Been playing it since 2005 and this is the best I have scene in LONG time. Greens are rolling nice, fairways are back to grass and lush, they redid the traps with new sand, and all new golf carts. Pro shop does not offer much. Restuarant/bar is small and limited but course is back!! GREAT value for the money for season and shape its in.
We enjoyed the course, reminded us of home a bit (Scotland) will defo be back
Great staff !!!!
Great Value, Worth a Visit
Having read some poor reviews i was a little sceptical, however, we were pleasantly surprised. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The course layout is very good. The overall condition was patchy, but generally, the fairways were good and the the greens were fast, tricky and true. Overall , well worth a visit as its extremely convenient, very good value and the pace of play was excellent . Our threesome got around in 3 hours.
A Great track for the Price
it is winter time in Orlando. Course rates sky rocket this time of year. So being able to go out and play a nice round at Metrowest for a rate that is in line with the quality of the course is great.
The greens were in really good shape, and running quick. Kudo's to the team on that.
The Fairways were not "plush" but very playable.
The tee boxes could use some help, but overall they were ok.
Great day at Metro West
We had a great round at Metro West. Unfortunately, Golfnow overbooked the course, but the staff made up for it and the course conditions were superb. Highly recommend.
Great condition
Great condition the tee times were stacked up 4 minutes intervals.it was a 5hr 15min round!
Not enjoyable. However the course otherwise was in Great condition and a lot of Fun to play!
Definitely go play it hopefully they stretch out those tee times a little bit further out between 7-8 Minutes.
First and probably last
Conditions were bad but pace of play was worse . Could be a decent course with proper care , the other golfers I was paired with quit after 9 , was over 5 hour round , will probably not go back unless I get a hot deal for 30 , about what it's worth
Good shape
It was a holiday weekend so the pace of play was slow which is to be expected on a busy golf course. The course is in good condition except for a few tee-boxes which were a little rough. Had a decent round so that makes everything a lot better.
Just Average
It's a 40-50$ track at best. For 70$ there are a good number of better tracks. The staff was great and the course is going in the right direction.
Play Here, Available Gem
The course was in good shape for this time of the year, with mostly green fairways and greens that ran true. Additionally, the design on many holes requires strategizing on the part of the player, selecting correct landing areas to set up approach shots. The next time, I think I would do this or that instead, was a common refrain, which speaks to the desire or need to play the course more than once. I must say it is a gem of a design, but it is not hidden, it's right here in Orlando, one you should play.
Recommend
Have lived and golfed in the area for years, but never considered playing Metro West due to poor reviews. Decided to give it a shot based on recent positive reviews, and the course delivered. Greens and fairways are in great shape, and tee boxes are more than fine. Great value compared to many other courses of similar quality. Perfect track for a “happy medium” between a resort course & mini course when it comes to quality/value.
