Course in solid condition, greens roll faster on the putting range than the actual course so slightly slow but in good conditions for the most part. Faily easy, straight course but trouble can be found not in the fairway. Pace of play horrendous is the only downfall. Worth $22 definitely, but not sure I'd go again taking almost 5hrs to complete 18
Fun 9 Hole
Little gem tucked away in Altadena. Good length, with plenty of obstacles 🌲🌴 which provides plenty of shade in return.
Challenging but manageable. Perfect for a quick 9 holes after work or a discounted replay to get 18 in on the weekend.
Nice setting, decent layout
Overall, the course was fine. The greens are fairly small and ran like sandpaper on a warm, sunny day.
Nice course
Our first time at Altadena golf course with our grandkids, 10 & 7. Two adults and 2 kids. It was crowded but we did not have to wait long even though the group before us were walking. The kids did not get a discount because we did not know our grandkids have SCGA Jr membership so we did not ask. They charged $20 more for an additional
golf cart plus $5 for each kids.
The course is nice, some holes have thick grass so made it hard to find our balls if we did not hit straight. We each lost a few balls. Overall, we had a nice time with our grandkids.
Fairway grass and tee boxes in poor condition
Much work is needed to improve grass conditions and cart trails. Pro shop staff are professional and friendly.
Nice mix of par3 to par5 for 9 holes
My first time playing this course and had a great time. I liked the mix of par 3 through par 5 hole layouts for only a 9 hole course. I ended doing a replay to get a full 18 holes in.
My only complaint is that the fairways were not consistent. More than a few of my fairway shots where in between a mix of good grass and dirt making a clean hit almost impossible.
If you land anywhere but the fairway the grass is tall. I lost two balls that bounced into the rough off of the fairway. No complaints that’s just golf.
I would definitely play again.
Great place to play
Had a good time playing this course. Everything was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Got us set up and got us going. Played a quick 9.
