Short but fun course
Do you want used every club in the bag on this course but it’s very well-kept and find a place for sure
Great round
The twilight players didn’t realize it was a short day this season.
Very slow pace of play.
Many of the tee boxes are in bad shape. Pace of play is horrible.
Not worth it
This course was in bad shape! Greens, tees, fairways all bad. It was a mud pit. Not worth $53!
Wonderful course for all skill levels
Course was in great shape. Wide fairways ideal for beginners but some long holes and numerous traps can challenge more advanced golfers.
Dry conditions
Greens did not roll evenly and needs water. Tee boxes were poor but appears improvements are in process.
Course is great for a public course
Santa Anita is challenging but not overwhelming for the average golfer. The personel are very helpful and the cost for a round is excellent. Course shape rivals a country club and the mountain backdrop is spectacular. Fun to play.
The only negative is that the restaurant/bar remain closed due to Covid although a snack stand us open for a good portion of the day. The driving range is adequate for warm ups and practice.
Winter Golf
Well, so much for the “lush” fairways of SA.
Wet , tight bare lies, low bounce wedges day.
Fairways were tight and cold and the tee boxes were rough. Greens were slow and bumpy. Too bad people can’t fix their divots. Like they’re so grateful they made it on the green they can’t just fix a divot. Burrito was awesome and the guys are cool. Pop was also very good today.
Nice open layout, well maintained
Nice open layout and well maintained. Play was a little slow.
Slow pace of play. They should not allow groups of five. Otherwise it’s a fun course with friendly staff.
