Great course, nice greens, friendly staff
Played here twice during my trip. The course was in excellent shape. Played orange/black both times. White course currently closed for green replacement I think all summer. Pace of play was 4 hour. Ate lunch both times food was homemade and delicious. Played 9 more holes for only $10. This facility for the price is excellent
Better than Expected
I played Orange-Black.
There are 27 holes but you do not get to choose play which 18 holes. It is already preassigned for that day.
Course condition is Very Very NICE. (at least Orange and Black)
I played here many many times but this was my first time in the past 2 years. I think the current course condition is the best as far as I can remember in the past
Excellent Course Conditions
These greens were spectacular, and the overall quality of the course excellent. Although most holes were dogleg right, there was considerable variety in required shot making.
Greens in Terrible Shape
It was explained to us after our round that the White Course Greens are being renovated and the killing agent took affect much more quickly than expected, rendering Memorial Day's play unacceptable. Further, we were told that because we booked our round on GolfNow, we were assigned the Black & White courses, whereas had we booked directly with Keith Hills we would have played Black & Orange,
Great course and value
Well worth the trip. Challenging layout, great conditions, fast greens, friendly staff and nice facilities. The whole package! The best sub $40 golf course I have ever played.
Great Greens!
Played the White course twice and the greens were immaculate! Loved putting on these greens (even if I missed).
Greens are Superb
Played Black to White. Fairways are a little thin, firm and fast. Greens are in excellent condition. Roll true, not too quick. Great layout and great play on Hot Deal. A bit of a drive from Raleigh but well worth the trip.
Course is in great shape
Staff is top notch, course was in great shape. Replay rate is s little steep! Overall worth the drive from Raleigh!
Great layout.
lot of up and down hills. Pretty course. Not happy with new booking rule at Golf now. Can't use reward on same day as booking. Not good at all. Disappointed in Golf now.
firm but consistent greens
Over all the greens were very true and in great shape and considering the possible damage done by hurricane Matthew the course as a whole was in great shape. Only con would be that there were several fairways that had considerable divot damage but other than that A+
Slow Play
Love the course but there was nobody out there to tell slower players to allow faster players to play through.
Great course. Lots of bunkers. Love playing.
Lots of challenges and lots of various hazards. One of my favourite.
Keith Hills
This place has potential, but they need to get some things in order. I was to matched up with a threesome and arrived on the tee at the time that was one group ahead of my time. I was told by the starter that the threesome was part of a group, and had gone off ahead of the foursome that was now on the tee. I was told I could go and join the threesome or wait and play as a single behind the foursome. This is lousy guest management practice. Declining these options, I was asked if I wanted to play the White 9, which, not understanding what that meant, agreed. I found out when I joined a fellow single at that 9 that the greens were bent grass, unlike the other 9s that were some form of Bermuda. So we had a pleasant 9 holes on an unremarkable White course and then proceeded to the Black 9 holes for the back. We encountered a foursome that I assume was from one of the other 9s (they had not been on the White) and waited behind them on every shot on the back 9, not a ranger in sight. This, in addition to the 4 or so holes that did not permit carts in the fairway, made for a long and frustrating 9 holes. This along with the change in greens to Bermuda made my round less than enjoyable and I won't go back.
If they wanted me to come back they should have straightened out the tee business, and had a ranger out moving things along.
