Beautiful mountain golf course

Beautiful day, course was in excellent shape. You need to play it to understand its nuances. But Scenery and the beautiful golf course makes you want to play it again and again. I would recommend this to anyone. Course is a little long fir women, but my wife still loves it.

The course is beautiful- course is in excellent condition under new management- the leaves were at their peak -just beautiful. The grill is closed as they are building a brand new one- so eat before you go or pack your lunch!. Enjoy!!!

Enjoyable course

The course was in great condition overall with a peaceful mountain atmosphere. The only knock being that the greens and surrounding area were pretty firm leaving it difficult to stick something close to the pin. Pace of play was average for a round with no jams throughout the day. Staff were very friendly and made it easy to get out on the course with no hold ups. Would play again!

Very pleasantly surprised

This was my first time playing this course and it was a great surprise. Greens are in excellent condition and running at a very good pace. Fairways were nice - no brown spots. Nice challenging course with good length. I played the white tees at a little over 6,400 yards.

Highly recommend trying this course out.

Nice Day

Played as a single mid morning on a Wednesday. Pretty open after 2 groups let me play thu.

My only complaint is that the t boxes should be level. There is enough slope all around the course to contend with. At least give us a decent tee off.

Can't wait for halfway snacks.

The attendant in the parking lot is a wnderful help.

Great mountain course

First nine fairways were wet and hadn’t been mowed due to a lot of rain. Beautiful scenery. Challenging course for distance and topography. Great day of golf!

Nice mountain course

Played for the first time, was a nice course. Greens were in good shape, staff was very friendly, and good pace of play. Only criticism is that some of the fairways and fringes were a little thin in places. But we will definitely go back.

Cart Path Only

Lots of rain the day before so cart path only. Very nice people to greet you. As a 25 handicap this was a great course. The front nine were very forgiving and the back are challenging. I think the course is good for all levels of golf. I definitely recommend playing here. Scenery is wonderful.

great mountain course

It was cart path only and unfortunately, the course plays to the left yet all the paths are on the right side of the fairways. Lots of walking back and forth.

Overall, fantastic mountain course. The views are epic and the elevation makes cooking the ball fairly easy. Not a whole lot of shaping shots. Pretty straight throughout.

Greens are faster than they seem!!

Great day of golf

It was chilly when we tee'd off, but the sun quickly broke through the clouds leaving us with an absolutely beautiful day. The course was in great shape, they were doing some proactive fall-maintenance, which is expected this time of year - but all in all, a great course.

Great layout.

Layout was gorgeous. Staff was friendly they were repairing the back 9. So had to play the front 9 twice. Greens where good. But slow. Nice tee boxes. Most the fairways where good sides some here and there bad patches. Only think I hated was the pace I’d play was so slow. And wasn’t even that busy. Overall enjoyed it. Beautiful would like to play the back 9 next time

Despite the negatives, a hidden gem

Despite the rough edges, Springdale is an out-of-the-way treat. Here are the pros/cons:

Pros:

Interesting layout - bring lots of different shots for your tee game

Beautiful surroundings - a mix of flat valley holes and twisting, changing elevated holes

Friendliest staff you will ever meet

Bunkers were pretty nice - a rarity this year

There were signs of maintenance everywhere (verticut fairways, plugged greens). They will fix it up.

Cons:

Pace of play was terrible - over 5 hours (but it was Labor Day)

Fairways were thin due to exorbitant rains this summer

Some greens showed significant bare spots

All in, we will return later this fall after the course has a chance to continue healing from a long, wet summer. But we will book an early tee time to try and avoid the slow pace of play.
