Decent place to play
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were good but a little slow. Just need to be cut. Price was average.
Needs a Marshal Fun Track
First off I have to commend this course for all the great programs they offer for youth sports that my kids participate in. I really wish the city would invest some money into this place. The most challenging aspect of this course are the greens that have a decent amount of undulation for public course. I felt the green speeds were somewhat inconsistent. The layout of the course was fair. Pace of play was awful at almost 5 hours and a twosome was allowed to jump out in front of us at the turn, which I was not happy about given the slower pace of play.
Challenging course played from the correct tees
Fairways and roughs still in winter condition. Sand traps in good condition where they drain well. Greens rolled well, held the approach shot, and were medium speed.
SLOW Play
This round took right at five hours. Thankfully the Ambassadors on the course tried to help (we witnessed them tell the 4some that was two groups ahead of us to pick up the pace at least three times), but unfortunately it still led to an up and down and inconsistent round. It didn't help that this specific foursome was playing from the back tees, when none were hitting the ball more than 200 yards. It led to 4 groups per hole for the entire back 9. I won't be going back anytime soon.
CT Myers
Decent course but the pace of play was slow. The greens are in very good condition but the fairways were very muddy. Course needs to invest in better drainage system
Nice
I enjoyed my first day. Course is very opened. Well maintained. Pace was good and I was a single. Looking forward to returning for another day
Best City Owned Course in Charlotte
I have golfed other city owned courses in Charlotte including Sifford and Sunset Hills... This course is great value for the money. Greens were in great condition for the most part. The course was wet from a couple days of heavy rain that prompted cart path only driving. The front nine was more challenging then the back nine.
Overall, I will definitely be going back to this course. The best value course in the inner charlotte metro.
Wet course
Course does not drain well. Most fairways were very wet. Course is still winter conditions. Greens held the approach shot well, rolled true, were medium speed. Sand traps were hard packed.
