Sunset Hills Golf Course - Old Course

Course is great for price. Best greens out of all the Charlotte munis.

Pace is slow since so many beginners tee off from the tips. Would play again.

Course was fun to play. Confusing lay out we were lucky to play with someone who knew the course. Some of the holes were too close. You needed to always be on guard.

Easy go to course for relatively cheap play and is well maintained.

Course looked good and played relatively fast, but the wait in between holes was some of slowest I've ever seen on a course. There was no ranger to start us off, we found out we were playing with another guy when he caught up to us on the third hole. We saw 8 guys playing a few holes ahead of us at the same time. The group in front us was acting like tour pros and slowing down multiple groups and didn't let us play through. Saw a ranger once, no idea where he was going.

Played this course for forst time ever 40 years ago. I must say the improvements with time are excellent. Greens and tee boxes in great shape!! Pace of play was ridiculously slow. Had to call the clubhouse because of 4 people playing out of 1 bag toget marshal out to take care of it. Will definitely play again. Its convenient and decently priced.

Some fairways need work everyone that you can fix your ball. The layout is challenging yet forgiving. Great learning course with elevated greens .

Fairways and greens were in rough shape. No grass in the fairway in many spots. Greens may have recently been aerified. They were bumpy and rough with no consistent lines. Some tee boxes are too close to previous greens- we were hit into 3 times.

I should be refunded my money. That course was straight trash. Greens were awful. Please refund my money

I have played this course a couple times and I think the course is great for the money. The course is great but the staff at the front desk in particular were terrible and rude. I went into the pro shop to pay for the 9 holes and the cart fee. The guy I checked in with already had a bad attitude and was snarky. I then grabbed my cart loaded up my clubs and me and my Gf hopped in the cart to go to the first tee. While I’m teeing off the marshal drives up all frantic and accuses us of stealing a cart and demanding we go to the pro shop now. I showed him my bank withdraw for the money but he insisted I didn’t and made me go back up. I then went back up to the pro shop and they accused me of lying then when I showed them the transaction they said it was because my gf was in the cart and I needed to pay extra for her just to be in it. I am new to golf so I don’t know if that’s a thing so I asked him why I had to pay 2 cart fees for one cart and he got very angry and cussed at me in a threatening way and told me not to raise my voice.Then the other guy came out and accused me of lying to them and said I knew what I was doing.after all that I didn’t even want to golf there anymore so I asked for a refund and the manager came out and was very polite and gave me one. But while this is happening the second guy keeps saying just don’t lie to us insisting that I was. Very unprofessional front desk employees. The manager was the only polite one there.
