About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Upgrades
The course is under new ownership who are making much needed repairs. Everything is going great from what I saw. The course was well groomed and the clubhouse is being renovated. This may seem like a small thing but the bathrooms out on the course are in great shape, not Porto potties. Too many bunkers, I think I found them all. Might be me!

Staff
I arrived early thinking my tee time was 12:50. It was 1:50. Course was very busy with girls tournament. Gentlemen at pro shop was awesome. Many parents were using carts to watch their kids He kept everyone informed of the situation and they got carts cleaned and out to those waiting as quick as possible. Started on time and pace of play was very good, only slowing down around hole 14. Congrats to staff

I love the neuse golf club. One of my favorite places to play. Pace very bad today on the back nine but due to outing. normally good pace. I like the layout and the conditions are usually very good.

LIKE THE COURSE. MANAGEMENT? NOT SO MUCH.
Two times I've played here since new management/owners came in felt as if they were doing me a favor to take my money. Not welcoming. Also, they have GOT to get a ranger on the course. Since Covid, lots of foursomes out there with no clue and particularly not understanding pace of play, others playing through, etc.

Great condition
The course was wide open due to the cold front blowing in the past 24 hours. Greens are in excellent shape, rolling smooth and fast! The amenities off course are a huge plus too! Highly recommend the flatbreads, burgers and cocktails! One of the better choices for the area without doubt!

Always a Good Time!!!
Fantastic course!!!! Pace of play was absurd! Played 8 holes in an hour and 15 minutes. Last 10 holes took 3hours and 25 minutes. We caught up to a 5some of members that were terrible and wouldn't let anyone through. We had beautiful weather, cold beer, and a fun course so still worth it.
