About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Still solid course for the money
Glad to see the ownership change hasn’t had any noticeable impact on course conditions. Fairways, greens, tee boxes, bunkers all in great shape. Was slower than typical round due to a five some that was two groups in front of us was only drawback to the day. Absolutely will be back in the next few weeks.

Great course, not so great covid-preparedness
Booked for 2 people, then they tried charging an extra cart fee, when we requested separate carts-come on guys... you can do better during these trying times.

Great great course!!!! Play this little gem
This is a little hidden gem just south of Raleigh. So much value for the $$. Just play it and you’ll see what I mean. Played 3rd week of October and greens where fast and true!

Excellent course, in great shape
A real gem of a course, and fun to play. Very fair test of golf. Bermuda greens very true to putt on. Very picturesque setting with elevation changes, mature trees, valleys, manicured fairways. One of Raleigh areas best courses. I will definitely play here again.

The course was somewhat long for this senior, but next time I will play the golds instead of the whites.

Nice Course for the money
Played on 9/24/2020 for approx. $40 each with a foursome of friends. Well, worth the money. Course is in great shape for Sept. with good fairways, greens, and tee boxes. Not a super long course but interesting holes which run along the Neuse river and has some elevation changes. Shot 43+43=86 from the blue tees, so at least I'm consistent on this course. If you're thinking of playing it, go ahead, you're not going to find a better golf deal in the Raleigh area.

Challenging Course
Course was in excellent shape, like blind tee shots, blind shots to green, sloping fairways This is your course ..... challenging but fair with a great layout. Mostly generous fairways.

I play courses all over the Carolinas and this is an excellent course. Very nice architecture and layout. A true "sleeper" and great value for the money, I will definitely be back.
