About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Great course for the value
Well kept course and friendly staff. Course is challenging and some holes go directly through neighborhoods requiring a steady shot. Love to play it again, good to get away from the Raleigh crowds.

you have a wonderful course but your total disregard for covid 19 is unacceptable. I will not be back.

Only Nine holes open - no advance notice
Prepaid through hot deal. Found out on first hole that back nine is completely closed. No advance warning on golfnow nor in pro shop

Excellent and challenging course.
One of my favorites in the area. The course and greens are in great shape, and the staff is always helpful and courteous. We look for early tee times on Sat or Sun, and the Neuse usually has times available when checking a week prior.

Well done
A very nice course, challenging layout and good conditions. Greens were relatively fast, but that’ll depend on the time of year and the heat. This is one of four sister courses around Raleigh, possibly the best one of the four. Hamburgers in the grille are very good.

Nice course with some memorable holes
Usually play the Neuse once a Summer and always enjoy it. They just received a lot of rain so the bunkers were pretty much ground under repair but the rest of the course was fine once we were able to leave the cart path. Pro-shop staff were friendly and helpful. Holes 13 and 14 in particular are picturesque and challenging.
Just be aware that where Covid precautions are concerned, there really aren't any. No one wearing a mask in the clubhouse, no spacers in the holes. The email confirmation we received led us to believe that all the State mandates were being observed, even to the point of requesting that they recommended that you didn't show up more than 15 minutes before your tee time and leave immediately after the round.
If you know that up front and you're comfortable you'll enjoy your round.

Loved this course - the conditions were excellent
Play the Neuse for the first time and loved it!!! The greens and fairways were excellent. We enjoyed our round and played in 4 hours and 10 minutes, under the course expected time!

Best course for the value
Course is in great shape. Played a full round in under 3 hours. Friendly staff. Very laid back. Driving range and putting green are also in great shape. There’s nowhere else I’d rather play in the triangle.

Wonderful design and excellent grass.
It’s my first time playing this golf course. I was a challenge choosing the right club because of the variety of topography.If you can hit 250+ yards enjoy the 7,011 yards from the blacks. Several greens have different levels and brakes which requires taking your time to read every putter. Both sides usually have very big trees and to a considerable distance are the houses of the subdivision. You must know this gem in North Carolina.

Challenging, well maintained
First round here in many years. Course in excellent shape. Fabulous greens, fairways. One bad tee box. 4:10 pace on a Saturday. Social distancing not being followed by staff or golfers. Golf shop sold out of large mens gloves and had no tees!. Good selection of food and drink. Nice range.
