About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Great round of golf. Course was in great condition. Greens were a little fast for the front 9 however there wasn’t much sun out, now when we got on the back 9 the greens slowed down due to the sun

Outstanding day
What a great day for golf. Played with some members. Jean and Joe and they toured the course for me. Hadn't played there since early 2000 and it's every the bit as professional as ever.

This course right now has a huge jump on other courses in the area. The greens are rolling through the fairways are in great shape and the roof is starting to get thicker. Will definitely come back and play again soon

Good shape
Course was in very good shape for this early in the season (remember last year????). Fairways are greening up but very tight. Greens are fast with usual undulations which are often a mystery. Course was mostly deserted and still took 4 hrs, which just seems to be the pace of play there whatever the day, time, or pandemic.

Excellent Mid March Conditions
The Neuse Golf Club has been a go to of mine for years ! Greens were smooth and had a nice pace.. Played in just over 3 hours ! Can't beat the GolfNow rates !

It’s not the course
No issues whatsoever with the course. One of my favorites. But, groups stacked on every hole, 2 riders per cart. Not enough concern shown for customer health and well being during a serious pandemic. Golf should be a safe haven right now and a chance to get some fresh air. Please limit daily # of players and one rider per cart, you know ‘social distancing’ . Might cut into profit but hey, might save some lives.

Greens rolling great
Course is in great condition considering the wet weather we have had nonstop all winter. Greens are in unreal shape. Go play.

A Must Play For Sure
The course is very forgiving and has great views of the Neuse at various holes. The fairways and the greens are extremely well kept. The only ill I had during this experience were a couple pretentious golfers behind my group that didn’t realize there was a line in front of us, but there’s always a member like that at any semi private course. Great course and great staff. Got a round in for $25 when it usually cost $45. If you see a deal like that it is most definitely worth the drive from Raleigh.

Slow play
I couldn’t believe they allowed walkers on a Sunday. It was a twosome in front of us and they clogged up everyone.

Great layout
Course is wet on most fairways due to heavy rain recently but overall in not bad shape. Will definitely be back to play again...
