The Neuse Golf Club

The course is very forgiving and has great views of the Neuse at various holes. The fairways and the greens are extremely well kept. The only ill I had during this experience were a couple pretentious golfers behind my group that didn’t realize there was a line in front of us, but there’s always a member like that at any semi private course. Great course and great staff. Got a round in for $25 when it usually cost $45. If you see a deal like that it is most definitely worth the drive from Raleigh.

I couldn’t believe they allowed walkers on a Sunday. It was a twosome in front of us and they clogged up everyone.

Course is wet on most fairways due to heavy rain recently but overall in not bad shape. Will definitely be back to play again...

Greens excellent, super layout, great winter conditions

Great value for the hot deal I received from golfnow.com. if I had of paid full price for the round which had been 35 dollars I would have been very disappointed. The course was very wet and dows not drain well. The fairways were cut very close and the line was better in the rough then fairway. Greens were nice and rolled very fast but I love bent grass greens. Staff was not very friendly. All that was said by guy at register in pro shop was name and time. Then it was handed me the receipt and here u go. No have a nice round or tell me that half the course was cart path only. Figured that much out by playing. Was not a busy day so pace of play was great.

Track still in Excellent shape for this time of year . Hats off to grounds keeper. Obviously little to no roll out on your drive but green are still in the best shape possible for this time of year. Good pace of play and welcoming staff . Overall experience will guarantee that I’ll return and consider membership.

Friendly and welcoming staff . Club house has everything you could need or want with fare prices. Golf carts have usb charging ports .... very helpful when Your phone is dead and need a charge ! The fairways have some wet spots but that’s to be expected this time of the year . Greens still in very good shape for this part of the year. I’ve played here many times and they keep it in tip top shape year round. Great value for the money and can be challenging . You’ll use almost every club in you bag . Book a tee time and play here and you won’t regret it ! Only con is the bunkers need some love and are not consistent through out .

Neuse is in winter conditions....fairways a bit soggy, some sand traps muddy....greens are great! Some of the holes were CPO, some 90 degree rule. Great layout and a friendly staff. Playing in under 4 hrs is always a good thing! A good play for all skill levels if they play from the correct tees.

I am writing now, three years later because this afternoon I was remembering happy moments of my life, this COVID it's getting me crazy, so I tried to see what I could find from The Neuse golf club on Internet.

Watching it again made fill better.

I promise that I will come back for playing again there.

The Neuse is my favorite place to play in the area, even though there are many courses closer to my home. The layout is interesting and challenging and the course is always in good shape.. I highly recommend The Neuse for anyone looking for a great place to play, at a reasonable price.

Course in poor condition, but not surprising given the time of year. Greens were good and still fast. But they have their work cut out for them as far as course maintenance. Cart path only on some holes did not save conditions, so word out to course greens keeper, go get em.

I always love playing the Neuse. The layout is excellent, the staff is always friendly and the pace of play is usually good. I live 31 miles away but well worth the trip.

Neuse is in winter conditions.....dormant Bermuda fairways, rough isn't too long but dense. Greens are immaculate.....not too fast but very true. Sand traps were iffy....some had standing water, some were compacted sand (had rained a lot 2 days prior). Overall, a fantastic layout......never disappointed going to the Neuse!
