About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Good layout and good value
The course was fun to play. Went out as a single and played the front nine in 1 and 3/4 hours and the back nine slowed down, but hooked up with two nice guys and we finished up in 2 hours.

Divots and Ball marks
Course is in excellent condition. Just overseeded so should be nice and greener soon. The drawbacks that I experienced was from other golfers, not repairing divots or ball marks.

Great condition
We've played the Neuse a number of times over the past 18 months, when we first moved to the area, and it's one of our favorites. This round didn't disappoint. Layout is challenging but fun and fair and the course is in stellar condition. The Neuse Dog is the best golf course hot dog around.

Greens were exceptional!!
For $25 you won’t find a better course in the area. I thought the conditions of the course were great. The boxes were lush as were the fairways. The greens were smooth and true and very quick. The bunkers could have used a but more sand. I felt they were a smidge firm but they had enough sand where if you hit it like you should you would get out. Thats the only reason i didn’t give it 5 stars. 1/2 star deduction for bunkers and 1/2 star for the amount of ant hills scatter all over. Fortunately none on the greens. I would definitely come back!!

Always a pleasure
Had a great round of golf at the Neuse as always. Our threesome didn’t have to wait at all and had a pretty quick round. The course is in excellent condition as always and the staff of great. Highly recommend!

Awesome Course
Booked this course because of the other reviews and I was not disappointed, thought I got a good price thur Golf Now, but when I got to the Pro Shop the guy knock off another $15 because I was a senior, will definitely play it again the next time I visit the area

Great course design!
I really enjoyed the track. The greens were in outstanding condition and rolled true. The only drawback was it took five hours because of slow play. Did not see any rangers on course.

Great Course!
I was very pleased with everything, but my golf game! The Staff were nice, very pleased with shape of driving range and the greens rolled great. I don't recall anytime I've played The Neuse, where it was in bad shape. Don't forget to order a burger while you are there!

I've been playing The Neuse for 7 years. Best shape I've seen. Fairways in great shape. Greens were firm, and fast. Pace of play was great until the last 4 holes, and finished in under 4 hours.
