About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

Well worth playing if in Raleigh area.
One of the best public courses in the greater Raleigh area. Not a lot of traffic Mondays through Thursdays, very good pace of play. In great shape, smooth and fairly quick greens.

Always glad to get out on this course
A great time, good weather, and a nearly empty course. Plenty of time to enjoy the experience without having to rush around the layout. I was surprised to find the greens in such good condition.

Awesome course
Great condition overall, large greens that were very fast, Approach shot is critical as you can easily 3.putt. Loved the layout, most holes have generous fairways with a few challenging holes. Great senior rate for this caliber of course.

Like the challenge
I like the layout because it’s one of the more challenging courses in the area. Very nice condition although greens are slow and a little tough to read. Great new carts with gps. Also some traps need sand

Very nice course. Challenging holes and very unique. Had to cross residential roads a lot but no big deal as we couldn’t wait to see what lied ahead of us. Can’t wait to play this course again.

Awesome Condition
Played in under 3 hours on a Monday. Course is in excellent condition...
I've seen the greens faster, but the pace was just right for a mid-handicapper.

Didn’t get to go play.
Had a tee time for 8:20. Showed up ten minutes early. They told me I would being playing with three randoms. They had already teed off. When I got to where they were they had already picked up a 4th. They couldn’t find anyone else to put me with. Instead of letting me play solo they instead just gave me my money back or said I could play at 1:00 p.m. Just really frustrating that they wouldn’t just allow me to play or try to work me in since I already had a booked tee time. A waste of my time and money. I won’t be returning.
