About
Neuse Golf Club was ranked as one of the best public golf courses in North Carolina, second only to Pinehurst. The layout winds along the Neuse River across rolling hills that are dotted with rocky outcroppings. Towering, mature pines accent the landscape as well, especially along the fairways. Each hole provides a dramatically different challenge and unique scenery. Views of the winding river can be enjoyed on almost every hole. A variety of bunkers and doglegs are strategically placed throughout the golf course, demanding both accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The design closely follows the natural contours of the hilly terrain. Dramatic elevation changes guarantee that flat lies will be hard to find. The golf course is no easy feat but the beautiful scenery and interesting hole designs will appeal to any player.

The Nuese Always A Fun Test
I had a great time with my friends on a hot summer morning. Conditions were great. Greens were fast and held approach shots well. I always have a great time playing here. The pro shop and food/beverage area have been upgraded and look great. Highly recommended, from an avid golfer!

Great course
The only thing I would change is adding more places to get water and more access to restrooms. Also $25 for a 6 pack of beer is pretty ridiculous.

Outstanding Condition
Greens have recovered completely from June aeration.

Still the best
Still my favorite place to play. If I didn’t live so far, I would be a member. Greens were awesome, fairways were lush and well kept. Allot of rain recently so some of the bunkers were washed out but that’s topography for you. This place is the best! I will always play here!

Nice Quiet Place
Fun layout. Greens were impeccable. No one out there either. Overall highly recommend for the price. I was surprised at the value at this club. No complaints at all other then the heat

Great course
First time playing here and it was tough for me. Beautiful course and they had it in good shape, the greens had been sanded but still rolled true. The staff is friendly nice clubhouse and bar. I will be back to play it again.

One of my favorite courses
the layout is challenging with the back nine being the harder of the two. the par 5's are fairly short and accessible with two solid shots and the par 3's have a little more length.
course was in good condition although the greens were getting ready for the summer aeration and had a few uneven spots.
like most courses these days, it is getting more expensive to play, thus I don't get to the Neuse as much as others who live closer.

Good local course
Good local course, played a little slow but it was also in the mid 90s, so understandable. Greens were rolling slow due to heat but all in all course was in pretty good condition

Excellent
Went at tee time and it was raining they changed my tee time to a later time course was in excellent condition and everyone was excellent my golf buddy was his first time there and loved the challenges of the course and wants to play again great course to play and it was all excellent
