The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

Golf course was in great shape. Greens were rolling fast and true. Fairways were in good shape. Bunkers needed more sand. GPS on golf cart was accurate. Pace of play was too slow.

THEY NEED A MARSHALL AND A STARTER ON BUSY DAYS!

We arrived around 1:30 for our 2pm tee time. Practice area was pretty full which gave us some concern. Then we heard the starter calling groups to the tee including a 5-some! Next thing I know, we find out that we have been paired with a group of 3, so we will be a 5-some as well. Regardless, the front 9 played at slow but decent pace. Then came the back 9. By the 14th hole, there were several groups stacked up on the tee and others languishing in the fairway. We called it a day and it was a good thing as the remaining holes would have easily taken us 2 hours to finish - it was THAT slow...

The course was in great shape after the first rain of the season. Busier than I expected for a Wed 1pm tee time. I recommend this course to experienced golfers, tough for beginners.

Very nice condition. Great design. Very challenging. Definitely will play it again.

I love this course. The conditions are great and the overall experience is awesome. I like this course the most in the Sacramento area.

This is the worst I have ever seen the greens at the Ridge.

Very bumpy.

Challenging and fun layout, I always have a fun time here.. Everything was pretty well manicured and maintained. Two things though: tee boxes could’ve been a little better and greens were bumpy(although, they still rolled out truly and nicely).

The course has a good mix of relatively easy, moderate, and downright hard holes -- always a challenge The greens were in great condition and the fairways were excellent. Great time, despite the heat!!

While this course remains one of my favorites they need to do something with the greens they seem to have used an overly large tine when they aerated the greens I don't know exactly how long ago this was and they just never recovered they're bumpy not true they don't roll well.I have been trying to ignore this I have to take any good hard look you can see the lines from where they aerated months ago .I'm not a turfoligist so I don't what can be done to fix this but I sure wish they would it's my favorite course and I will continue to play there it just used to be so much

Great layout. Fairways and tee boxes in good shape. Looks like greens had been punched, or attempted to be punched. Even so, the greens seemed like they could have been fundamentally in better shape ... a little disappointing compared to past rounds. Don't know why we don't see hot deals anymore. Again, a very good course ...

I’ve seen recently good prices for the round. Obviously, course management has decided to get as many rounds as possible and let the condition of course go. Really disappointed. Years past this course was the most well maintained! No longer. Definitely out of the rotation.

I really enjoyed playing this course. It wasn’t the longest course, but it made you think. You can’t just grip it and rip it here, there are bunkers positioned that will ruin your handicap. The greens are fast and the first few were a little beat up with odd growing of the grass. It looked like the grass were in different stages of growth. It made for bumpy putting on the first few holes. The pace was good until our last 4 holes where there were four groups bottlenecked. The clubhouse was great and the people were very friendly. I’ll be back for sure.
