The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

This is one of my favorite courses and playing through the GolfNow app makes it even better. This course is a must play

Great course layout, lots of altitude ,. really tough, but lots of fun. Nice facility, friendly staff, and good bar.

Love the ambiance around the clubhouse with bronze statues of John Wayne, Geronimo and a Sabertooth Tiger. Newer carts with GPS and ice box are nice but trigger a slow down/stop if you attempt to drive in ob area or outside of directional cart path signs. Arthritic players, bad knee, ankles or older golfers will have a hard time here. The course is pretty nice overall but not exactly lush fairways as they are struggling to keep grass pure in the August heat. On course restrooms are clean. Water buckets every other hole. The staff member at the pro shop spent some time pointing out the particulars for our first round here. The fairways are tight but the sand was fluffy and the greens were primo. Stay within yourself and don't try to get too fancy, you'll be rewarded with a fair chance to score. Worth the hour drive from South Sac. on a Hot Deal!

The course is in great condition, greens are perfect. This course is well designed, with many traps and water, but is fair if you play smart golf. Course offers a challenge, but is not unfair or so difficult as to frustrate the average golfer. One problem; (pace of play issue)we had a foursome, had to let six doubles and three singles go through during our round. The doubles and the single should have been paired up. Not fair to us and caused disruption and really slowed us down.

Course condition was awesome. Kudos to the the grounds team. Greens were fast, but rolled true. As stated earlier, this is a challenging course. But even beginners will love the disneyland-style elevation changes and the beauty. This course is a bargain at $60 on the weekends. Play it.

This is course not for a beginner. It is a fair course. Bring your A game. Lots of fun holes. Bring extra balls as well!,

Things were a little beat up from the heat. August heat is obviously not the best time to play to get perfect green rough and fairways. Despite the heat, the crew had the greens nice and soft and the greens rolled nicely. Lots of fun holes, many quite memorable. Many of these followed obviously natural terrain and others were more sculpted with landmovers. I'd play it again, especially before any of the courses that wind through suburbia.

Very challenging course. Tests your entire game.....through the bag. Highly recommend.

Greens are fast, fairways are beautiful. Went out in a 2some on Sunday afternoon at 1:15. I was in my car heading home by 4:30. Not bad for 35 bucks on a weekend.

Played here mid week in the morning. Was damp and overcast to start, which kept the course relatively clear for a 10am tee time. We had two groups and everyone enjoyed it. No one is particularly good, and this challenging course swallowed a lot of balls from our two groups, but great scenery and intricate holes. I'd go back, but I'd need a few more lessons before I do.

The course is in great shape. The greens were a bit slower than usual. I have played the Ridge multiple times over the years, and it is always well maintained and fun to play.

Got out as a single today mid morning and they started me back 9 since there were quite a few 4 somes already out. Played back 9 in 70 mins! Front 9 was slow first 2 holes, but then got going with no hold ups. Total round time just a little over 3 hours.

Greens rolled well today, but they weren't as nice as I remember last summer. Quite a few imperfections on the greens and divots in the fairways. If everyone would throw some divot mix after hitting their ball and repair their ball mark, courses would always be in tip-top shape! I'll be back later this summer for sure.

Going on Mothers Day was tough, playing with a hungry mom and kids, was tough. They maybe could have had a few options to buy food at the turn other than sandwiches and hotdogs would have been great.

The course was in perfect condition! The fairways and greens were awesome! Could use a little trim in the rough areas, the worlds are a little high.
