The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

Friendly, welcoming staff. Moved up out tee-time at our request. Course in very nice condition. Greens were well-groomed and average speed for us as recreational golfers. Advice: swallow your pride and play from the tees that make sense for your golfing ability. We did and had a very enjoyable round of golf. -DFinch, Roseville, CA

The course was in excellent condition. The greens were great and I would definitely play the coarse again. The only negative was that there was a slow group playing in front of us and there was no marshal to speed them up.

The Ridge sets in the foothills off of highway 80 with easy access to the course. Layout is interesting, and sits alone amidst Oak and Chapparal and some Pine. Each hole is distinct ,and carved into a moderate hillside. You are able to remove yourself from the hustle -bustle of urban life into a tranquil setting for 4 hours. Pace of play was great with the 12:10 tee time,and we finished in 4 hours even with one novice. The Ridge has moved to my number one slot for courses in and around Sacramento and Placer counties.

Really nice golf course! Bring your A game! It's worth the money to play this course. No matter if your a scratch player or a high handicapper you'll like it!

My friend and I loved this course. Everything about it was amazing in so many ways. The best thing we loved was the variations in elevation! Wow.

This golf course is very challenging but not impossible. Please very fair greens are excellent. Beautiful views all round great experience overall

I have played here many times, especially during the winter when all the courses are closed in Tahoe where I live. This particular round was less than enjoyable because of the pace of play. It took 5 1/2 hours. Two problems..one being there was no course marshal in site the entire round and secondly, the group in front of us were routinely taking multiple mulligans on every hole. By the end of the front nine, they were over two holes behind. This will not stop me from playing there in the future, but I will certainly make sure I speak with the pro shop about this problem from now on.

easy trip from Tahoe ,warm weather

the course is in great condition based on the weather we have had. Only complaint is the sand traps and the pre-made sandwich they were both awful. The staff as always were friendly and helpful. That is really what sets this course apart from others.

Excellent course condition tee to greens with pockets of soggy marsh due to recent rain. Gentle terrain relief makes this course visually engaging while technically challenging. Ample green area and varying width fairways bring linear perspective into play on par fives. Very enjoyable and playable.

Played with my son (his first Ridge experience) in cold rain. Course was in superior shape despite the weather. Greens had good speed despite a lot of water. My 8th time playing this course, and I enjoy it more each time as I get to know its nuances.

Great staff, Course, and amenities. Dark Horse and The Ridge are the best 18 hole courses in Auburn area. That said....The Ridge has the edge.

Only thing I don't like is that first hole. Pain to start the round with a seven :))

The course is always great to play. Great challenge! Pace of play was very slow since cart path only.

Was my 1st time playing this course and we played 18 holes. It was in fairly good shape considering the time of year(Dec), location (Tahoe area)and the fact that the grounds were pretty wet from recent snows. Course is tight, and has plenty of trouble if you don't keep it in the fairway. Greens were Excellent considering the conditions above and for the most part, very undulating & Fast! Only drawback was that because of the time of year, the restaurant was not open until 11am, and t-time was 10:30, so had to grab something for breakfast before arriving at course. However the food there when we got done was very good! Will definitely go back in the summer months.
