Conditions were very nice. Hard to read the break's on the greens. Lol.

Utterly disgrace to the management of the course for not notifying in advance of the paving of the driveway way from the main road to the bag drop that is about a quarter mile. We were instructed to drive around and park on the rocky overflow parking lot. We could have our car axle broken on the rock (not some pebbles but baseball sized rocks) covered parking lot and then had to a shuttle cart to take us to the pro shop. Wasted good 15 minutes. This is outrageous. I have read several bad reviews on the management’s treatment of the players ( their income sources) but this one just hit the ceiling. They are not only indifferent to their customers but also lack the basic marketing and professionalism.

The course layout is nothing short of superb and the greens were honestly fastest which I like the most. Scenery is super with a lot of variety of trees and wild flowers and wildlife.

This is definitely one of the challenging championship courses that meet the USGA criteria. The management needs some customer relationships training and be more friendly and be professional. We’ll watch closely to see what or if they make some improvements in customer relationships before returning to this course.

The course is in great shape. The greens hold you shot and roll true. Alll we needed was someone to teach about 5 groups how to wave up the next group on the 12 hole par 3. Still a great course and groups spread out quickly.

Nice course. Just never use GolfNow. They rip people off. Just call the clubs individually. Greens fees were a lot cheaper than what GolfNow charges. I emailed them, but no answer. I would never use this App that trips people off .

One of my favorite golf courses in sac area, always in good shape and very well taking care , good value for the money page of play was good, will come back soon , good luck to all golfers out there, when you come to play this course you better bring your best game otherwise the course will win ,like always 😂

Well as my past reviews have stated it’s simply one of the best courses in the Sacramento area. Layout, conditions, staff, etc. my only real complaint is the greens still are not rolling properly after how many weeks after punching? They have deep lines in them that have a major influence on your roll makes it very difficult to score well. The holes seem to be healing nicely however the lines are still deep enough to feel with your bare hand.. if you are putting across the lines it’s almost impossible to adjust speed., the bumps severely dictate your outcome and with the lines the ball will track in the lines and throw it offline. Anyway seems petty but you asked for a review 😊. Did they use a different machine? Did the stag use it incorrectly? See ya in a few weeks hopefully all is grown in

Played on Wednesday and finished right at 4

Hours. Moved well, group in front was ok two very slow players. Would have finished in 3 1/2? Course is really getting into great shape, 2-3 more weeks and it will be pristine. Appears they punched the greens a couple weeks ago, still some rough areas, heavy llines that throw your putts offline but it will be great. One of my favs in the Sacto area I’ll be back soon to see how the greens have come around.

The course is beautiful, but the greens and bunkers are terrible.

I understand that most courses plug and sand their greens twice a year, but these greens have been bad for some time now.

The bunkers are in need of attention. The sand varies hole to hole and in most cases needs to be better maintained.

Had a good time, pace of play was good. One of my fav tracks in the sacoftomatoes.area. Greens we’re airated so that’s always a bummer but a good timek

Challenging and great shape. This course in the foothills never disappoints

First time playing this course, not for the beginner.

Course was well maintained with the exception of the bunkers.

They didn’t have much depth to the sand and they were pretty damp. Wouldn’t be such a issue, however there’s a TON of them!

Approach shots have to be on target.
