great course in a beautiful setting. Challenging yet playable. enjoyed the round, great amenities.

some tee boxes were sandy and fairways had areas that were burned out, but we have had a harsh drought this summer. Greens were in pretty good shape with few dead spots. Grass cuts were fine also.

played through a slow group at 9 and ranger accused our group of slow play until we explained our play through. Not pressured from behind or held up to much ahead, so ranger is doing a good job of managing pace of play.

great course I play a couple times a year when I visit Oak Island.

4 of us played in the early morning to finish before the heat and wind picked up. It was a smart decision. Tee boxes overall are in good shape. Fairways were very nice and might be a bit high but the hot dry weather could be affecting the decision for keeping them a bit high. Greens were true and rolled well with a few spots that needed attention, but again this is due to the summer weather conditions. We had a great time st LF as always and will be back again,

We played Lockwood Folly while in Oak Island. 35 minute drive from Oak Island. Reasonable rates for June. Friendly staff, pace of play was a little slow. Fairways and greens in good condition, a few bad spots due to no rain. No food on course. Tight track, driver can stay in the bag on several holes.

Please please stay away 750 for 9 holes which is what we scheduled in advance . These people will rip you off and take you to the cleaners . We told them we needed 4 rentals and we got 4 1/2 bags from the girls - took 4 bags to make 1 whole set. We talked to the lady she said if we don’t rent a bag each we can’t play . Driver was broken but taped together . We couldn’t even get a manger they said we could not get our refund but they could give us another day free knowing we were leaving back to Dallas . Very very unprofessional

Course has one of the best practice areas too. Looks over the beautiful Lockwood Folly River and the Intracoastal waterway. Early in the morning there is normally calm. With a breeze that forms nearly every midday. Its challenging and at times narrow. If you score well here, you can score well anywhere.

I liked it so much I played 2 days in a row. It was a great decision both days. We were able to tee off a little before our tee time and never caught or had anyone waiting on us. I will say I kept my driver in the bag a little more than I'd would have liked but over all added to the challenge of the course. Nice course layout. We'll be back to play again.

Great course good people. Course was healing from aeration. Only issue. Would have been nice to know

Straightforward course, in pretty good shape. Not too challenging but perfect for my wife, new to golf. Friendly staff and shade near every tee box. No gps on carts but cold water every few holes and flagsticks are designed for range finders. 8/10 experience.

The staff is amazing! The course is waking up and gets better everyday!

Beautiful environment, lots of marshes and water and doglegs. Quiet.

Played Lockwood Folly for the first time. Easy check-in. Was paired with a nice twosome. Space of play was good and overall conditions were good. The course requires shaping a few tee shots which is nice and the greens were sneaky fast. Definitely will play it again.

My husband and I play this past Saturday, course was in good shape, staff friendly, splendid day
