Lockwood Folly Country Club

Fairways were thin and bare in many places. Greens were patchy and full of weeds. Tee boxes were not in good shape. Course needs a lot of work.

Pace of play is an issue. A sixsome was playing in front of us and really backed everything up. Surprised this was allowed to happen. I’ve never seen this before. Course is very nice. I’ll would play here again.

I like the layout of this course. Combo of not so hard and challenging holes. Had a foursome in front of our two some. They were hitting a lot of shots. Had 2 holes open in front of them and never waived us up. We finally skipped a hole. Greens were thin on grass but still rolled true.

Played a round here on a Sunday Afternoon. We were the only people on the course, so the pace of play was great. Driving range and putting green are nice too. Fairways and rough were decent, but the greens were terrible. Lots of dead spots and they were extremely hard, almost like concrete. The bunkers were either fine or extremely hard, packed sand. The $52 we spent was likely more than I’d pay to play here again unless they fixed the greens. Fun course with lots of potential, but the greens and bunkers need work.

A lot of the greens are in awful shape.

There are also a lot of big bear spots around the course.

I have played here about 4 times recently. Cart paths are desperately needing repairs. Badly broken up. Greens are needing attention quickly. They are on the threshold of loosing some greens. Pace of play is generally good. One round was played behind a group of women. 3 hours for front 9. Fortunately they were only playing 9 holes. No beverage cart several times. Beverage cart cannot take credit / debit cards.

Fun course, challeging but fair layout, course conditions could be better but about average for a public course.

First, paid for four golfers on golf now, only three were able to go. Clubhouse wouldn’t give gift card for the one round. Guy said he didn’t know how to do that.

Then we quit after 11 holes. 3hrs 15 mins at that point. 5 groups on one hole, number 10. It was awful.

Called pro shop and they said they didn’t know if the ranger was there but if he was he would send him out.

We won’t be back…

Visiting the area and took a chance on this course. Fantastic layout and challenging hiles. Course is good shape and staff is 5 star.

If you are in the area, i highly recommend you play a round.

Greens rolled very fast and true. Fairways were mown low so i got a good deal of roll, even when didn't want it(lol). Windy but very fun day.

Well worth the money

About 4 weeks this course will be excellent shape

Everything about the course was great but we were told had ten minutes between the next start and that did not happen so in turn the next party was hitting into us constantly.

Pace of play was excruciating. Women in front of us were so slow. When I called the club house and asked for a Marshall to speed them us, they had no one to send out. No beverage cart. Only water was at halfway house. Drink machine didn't work.

Some of the greens were patchy with growth. Lots of slow members in front of us (I assume they were members). Very nice layout and a challenging course.
