Sea Scape Golf Links
About
Sea Scape Golf Links in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is one of the premier courses on the Outer Banks. The course has the feel of a traditional Scottish links layout thanks to the seaside location and landscape of windswept dunes. The golf course differs from a classic open links design because of the coastal forests that accent the terrain, which provides some shelter from the ocean breezes. The vibrant blue waters contrast beautifully with the dark green treetops. The most challenging feature of the golf course is the constant up and down. Golfers will face uneven lies as well as blind shots. Sea Scape Golf Links is relatively short at 6,131 yards from the back tees but it plays longer due to the variety of elevation changes, which range from subtle to dramatic.

Nice Course
Would play this course again, and hopefully will have better weather, it was overcast, did get rained out after the front 9, no problem getting rain check played the back 9 the next day, but with that said, the course was nice the greens were punched two days before we played but they still had some speed did have to deal with the holes. Fairways were forgiving if you hit it somewhat straight. Club selection a must due to the wind. I would have to say this is a must play course and I would play this course again on my next return trip to OBX.
nice course
Staff very nice and helpful. Course was in a very good condition. Not an easy on, but not too hard to play. Would playagain when coming backmto the OBX.
Thank you for your review! We look forward to your visit next time you're around!
Tough course when the wind blows
Beautiful, windy day but a steal with $25 Hot Deal. South wind made the opening holes play very long from the tips. Many holes look tight from tees but the fairways are generous for straight hitters. Almost all holes play North/South or vice versa, and so the predominantly Southern wind makes club selection tricky. There are quite a few holes that have elevation changes too for a course at sea level. Greens were in great shape; wind affected putts too. Have never eaten here so Average rating for Food/Bev by default. Worth a play in OBX.
Thank you for your review! We appreciate you thoughtful analysis of the course. We look forward to seeing you for another round!
Good day to play
first time. not crowded at 12:33 t-time. later time looked to be more pairings. would play again as it's local and easy to get to from Duck, NC. Best hole #17 215 par 3.
We are so happy you enjoyed your round and hope you come back for another round soon! Thank you for sharing feedback about your experience!
Not worth the money
This is a $45 course masquerading as a premium $100+ course. Staff acts like you are bothering them. Tight course with lots of native grasses and water waiting to accept your offerings. Some nice views.
Thank you for taking the time to review the course. We take your feedback very seriously and we will work to provide a better experience in the future.
Average course
Nice course. A little rough in spots. No practice range.
Thank you for your review. Please come by for another round soon!
Seascape in Kitty Hawk
I have been playing here for a number of years, and I am never disappointed in the overall course quality. I recommend this course to everyone.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We hope you keep coming back for years to come!
A Touch of Scotland in OBX
A great links course woven between the bay and sea in Kitty Hawk, with some great vistas. Nice test of shot making, but the course doesn't take the Big Stick away..you just have to be judicious when you grip it and rip it. Staff is superb especially Dan the GM...Great pub type restaurant run by a trained chef. Great course right in the middle of it all on the banks. Thumbs Up!
Sea Scape a Good Escape in the OBX
After a rough winter, this course is in good shape for early April. Greens just punched last week so a little bumpy. Front 9 play totally different than the back 9. Grip it and rip it from nine, some placement golf on the back 9. Nice layout. Arrived early for t time so they let us out early. Would love to play this course again in late spring early summer when the course is in pristine condition.
The course is in a great location
The yardage card they provided was helpful. As with most courses, course knowledge would be helpful for future rounds.
Great value in the OBX
Played here for $25 on Golf Now. Had to rent clubs as we are from California and didn't want to pack them. Rental clubs are a mixture of older model Top Flite and Wilson's not the Taylor Mades I play with at home. Course was not what I expected in the OBX. It was hilly and tree lined on most fairways. Great condition but the Bermuda grass rough was a little long which ate some well hot balls. Would definitely play this course again.
Nice course
Good course. We were a twosome and starter let a foursome with an average age of 85 years old (seriously) tee off before us. VERY slow pace and they didn't let us play through until the 14th. Now the course was well maintained and the staff is the friendliest I've had the pleasure to experience. I would definitely play again my next OBX vacation, but would ask to go off another tee AHEAD of slow players.
Keep it in the fairway !!!
This was a fun course.
Although not long, it is key to 'hit it straight' as trouble looms on every hole.
Tough to find balls in the rough (not hard to hit out of, however), but beyond the rough are 'lions, tigers and bears'.
'Cousin It' mounds of grasses line the fairway rough and forced carries giving the course that 'links' feel.
Dogleg's both left and right, some water hazards, some narrow landing areas.
Keep the driver in the bag except for maybe a few holes.
Can be a long day for beginners as was evident by the group ahead of us......
Well worth the booking!
hot and sunny saturday
This hot and sunny day on a very nice golf course still wadn't enough Robson me break 90.
Great course
Had a great round. Front nine was fast pace then back nine was backed up and very slow. Love the course..
Good course conditions
No problems at all when I checked in at the course. I was paired with a father/ son and another single. All three were fun and engaging to play with. Course was in good shape. Greens were nice. Golf now is a great way to play courses otherwise out of my price range
Greens slow and shaggy
I have played Sea Scape a few times over the past few years. I played with 7 others in my group-with myself being the most advanced player (9 handicap). We played white T's which was fairly short for myself, but appropriate for the others in my group. As a vacation type course this course is fairly easy. Fairways were in good condition. Greens were slow and shaggy which is great for a lesser skilled player, but as a single digit handicap, I found them very slow and difficult to putt. Two of the four electric golf carts we had lost power during our round. We had to push them up hills. In defense of the club, we did play late in the day so the greens & carts were subject to a full day's play. Service in the club house and bar was very friendly and good. Starter seemed to be having a difficult day as he was a little on the crabby side.
Great course ....
I took my three sons and although it was a little tough for the younger one it was a great course and glad we did it.
Golf at Sea Scape
The course was in excellent condition, the layout is great, the staff was very friendly, the member that we joined up with after four holes (Daniel) was an outstanding host the rest of the round. I look forward to playing it again next year on our vacation to the Outer Banks.
Sea scape golf
Course was in great shape. The area has had adequate rain making the fairways, tees and green wonderful to play.
