Island West Golf Club

Fairways too rough too short not overseeded. I was disappointed. This was one of my favorite courses. Pine crest was sooooo much better.

Easy of access, great design plenty of fun. Challenging at times. Greens where in excellent condition

fun course, gets tight with trees. Off of fairway conditions not so good, but other than that a great course for less money.

I gave this course 4 stars. Could have been 5 but the gentleman in the pro shop was not friendly at all. Maybe he was having a bad day , but another in our fore some said he was rude the last time he played the course. Other than that the course was pretty wet from previous nights rain. It was in fantastic shape and the rest of the staff was great.

Fairways in good shape as were most greens. Some greens needed a little work, but overall quality was good for this time of the year. Play was a little slower than usual, but some fairways were cart path only due to drainage issues. Staff could have been a little friendlier.

Staff seemed very upset to even see me or answer my questions. Almost seemed annoyed by me being there. Course was nice. Greens very nice. Marshall's do nothing. I golfed alone had my wife and daughter tag along for $20?!? But took 5+ hours to finish because no one allowed me being 1 person pass the 4 somes that were in front of me. Will not be going back

The course in March 2014 is not in very good condition. Fairways and greens need work, some ball washers with no water or handles broken off, some bunkers almost rock hard. Very little attention seems to be paid to basic maintenance.

Played this course many times before. It has something for all levels of golfers. Course conditions where average and will probably improve as the weather improves. Very disappointed in the service from the bag/cart attendants. In spite of receiving a tip, they did not clean or offer to clean our clubs after the round. I could have driven the clubs to my car and saved the tip...

I'd like to play the course again as it was somewhat interesting. Fairways were very hard which led to a lot of unexpected runout leading to trouble. With more attention to growing better turf this could be a nice course.

This is one of our favourite golf course when we come to Hilton Head. The staff is friendly and helpful and the condition of the golf course is good.

I knew the price was too low to expect a high end experience. But there are lots of ways you can make up for a course with little grass off the fairways, bare patches on the greens and poorly maintained bunkers. Unfortunately the staff were equally disappointing. The check in was curt and unfriendly, and when I approached the gentleman outside that I assumed was the starter, I was corrected in a manner reserved for rude waiters. First, and last visit to Island West.

This is a nice course, very enjoyable to play. Staff is friendly, I would definitely play here again.

A good course with some challenging holes, but fair.
Very cold on the day we played so rate of play was very quick. Good value for money

Introduced two of my friends to the course; they truly enjoyed and were glad that I picked Island West. The pace was good, the alligators behaved themselves. It was a perfect day.

Not a favourite. Tee boxes in poor shape. Greens are okay. Lots of hidden trouble. If you don't always hit down the middle be prepared to lose balls. Better choices in area.

The course was in fine condition for late February.

The course was in good condition other than the fact that the greens were very slow along with the pace of play. The pace was fine on the back nine after the offending foursome went for a luncheon break!
