About
Rose Hill Golf Club in Bluffton is situated amongst plentiful live oaks draped with Spanish moss. There are also sparkling, crystal-clear lakes that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a part of Rose Hill Plantation, giving it a truly Southern look and feel. Most of the holes are flat and straightforward but there are a few tricky doglegs to keep the course interesting. The layout features formidable par 3s that will test even the best players and a notably difficult par 5 that measures just over 600 yards. The challenging holes are balanced with player-friendly features that make it versatile enough for a wide range of skill levels. Four sets of tees, the longest coming to just over 6,900 yards, make Rose Hill Golf Club even more accessible.

Over the last month course has been in very good shape. Many improvements in conditions. Enjoyed the last few rounds.
It's getting there
I'd like to echo what some others have been saying, it's clear that they are putting the work and money into this course to make it better and turn it around. The last couple of years have been BRUTAL, the course had been in a state of disrepair. It's got a way to go, but I can definitely give them a lot of respect for the ground that has been made so far in their attempt, it goes a long way.

Good course at a fair price.
Although many of the reviews were not great I felt for the money this course wasn’t all that bad. It has it condition issues but you can tell work is going into it to improve it. So take that into consideration and give it a try. The staff we dealt with were extremely friendly and pleasant to chat with.

Rose Hill is Improving
Played 9 holes. Haven't played here since December. The course is definitely improving. All the greens were good except for a dead spot on 1 green. Pace if play was perfect. Definitely will be playing there again.

I liked layout. course was in horrible shape. tall fairways and greens were some of worst I've played on. was probably once a nice course and could be again if taken care of. definitely not worth the $50 to play.

On the right track
Course was in pretty good shape, couple greens on the back are almost there but still need some work. Sand bunkers need a little love. Staff was friendly, but no food options besides small snacks in the pro shop. No cart girl etc. definitely will be playing again. New management is on the right track!

Great Father Son Outing
I wanted to take my aspiring 12 year old son to a course near Hilton Head Island. Rose Hill showed up on the Golf Now app and had some available tee times for the mid morning. I’m not an avid golfer but we had a great time playing 9 holes. The staff was very warm, friendly, and helpful. They asked how old my son was and gave a junior rate for him since he was 12 and saved me even more money. The staff was upfront that the course had been under different management in the past but that they work actively working to improve conditions and make the golf experience even better.
We had a great time and would definitely go back. We did see a few gators but that’s to be expected in this area.

As for the course it's self there's still work to be done. But you can see the improvements and the care there now putting into the course . Nice layout. Bring your own drinks water / Gatorade. No cart girl or place to buy a drink. Overall a good experience.

This was a fun course that I would definitely play again. The staff was amazing and very helpful. The greens were a little rough in spots, and overall course condition was average. Great value for the price

Excellent layout
Nice off Island course, better than expected after reading past reviews. Course recently reworked by new mgmt co. A couple of Greens had a patch or two still coming in but totally playable. FYI #15 (par 3) was closed for sodding. Just played a second ball at 18 150 marker.

Poor condition
I have played Rose Hill maybe 6 or 8 times. Never have seen the course in this bad of a condition. Several greens were really in bad shape. Tee boxes were not cut. Won’t go back for a long while
