About
Rose Hill Golf Club in Bluffton is situated amongst plentiful live oaks draped with Spanish moss. There are also sparkling, crystal-clear lakes that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a part of Rose Hill Plantation, giving it a truly Southern look and feel. Most of the holes are flat and straightforward but there are a few tricky doglegs to keep the course interesting. The layout features formidable par 3s that will test even the best players and a notably difficult par 5 that measures just over 600 yards. The challenging holes are balanced with player-friendly features that make it versatile enough for a wide range of skill levels. Four sets of tees, the longest coming to just over 6,900 yards, make Rose Hill Golf Club even more accessible.

Terrible course condition
The greens had weeds all over. Very little grass on fairways.. Do not waste your time or money.

It needs a lot of work
We just about walked off the course after playing nine holes. It looked as though nothing has been done to the course to maintain it for months. If not longer. The back nine was better. We only saw one worker the entire round. He was using a gas weed trimmer in an area that a small mower would have worked. Poor use of his time. The sand traps hadn't been raked for weeks if not months. The clubhouse was nice, and the people were friendly and helpful. If you want a course that is maintained, you better go elsewhere. I hope that some monies will be allocated to get it back in shape. The others in my group said that they would never go back.. I may give it a shot later this year or next. If it hasn't improved, I will then alert the cows to come on in, you can only help it.

Faded Rose
Brought friends from out of state and everyone was let down. While the staff was very good, the course is not worth the fee. T-boxes are nearly bare ground and muddy and the greens are all overgrown by weeds/Paonia and many have bare areas. It's very difficult to keep a putt on-line. A lot of work has been performed to install new irrigation, etc., the greens will soon be lost if not attended to immediately.

It's March, course was fine for this time of year. I recommend it. Fine value to start the season.

Disappointed
Course was in lousy condition, burnt fairways, patches of shrub grass on burnt greens, leaves all over the tee box. Won't be back anytime soon.

Purchased a Hot Deal, paid if full but arrived to a closed course???? Not sure of the course status long term.

Fairways are thin but …
… what can you expect at this time of year? We just rolled the ball to a good sot and played it that way. Greens are also in springtime shape but they putt reasonably well. We liked the layout a lot but the a few very Long hokes.

Terrible greens, mucky fairways, noisy gas carts..not worth the green fees for sure.

Poor Shape
Fairways and greens are pretty bad, grass is non existing on most of each. One plus is sand in bunkers is quite good. Strange that this is so with such bad overall conditions. Not worth $55.

Not good
The course was in poor condition, smelled like rotting vegetation and the fairways and greens were awful. We will never golf here again and we have been golfing in the area for 20 years. This course needs serious work!

Don't waste your time
Greens have serious evasive grass making them impossible to keep the ball on line.

Course was a little tough due to the time of year. They were spraying for crashgrass.
