Rose Hill Golf Club
About
Rose Hill Golf Club in Bluffton is situated amongst plentiful live oaks draped with Spanish moss. There are also sparkling, crystal-clear lakes that come into play on several holes. The golf course is a part of Rose Hill Plantation, giving it a truly Southern look and feel. Most of the holes are flat and straightforward but there are a few tricky doglegs to keep the course interesting. The layout features formidable par 3s that will test even the best players and a notably difficult par 5 that measures just over 600 yards. The challenging holes are balanced with player-friendly features that make it versatile enough for a wide range of skill levels. Four sets of tees, the longest coming to just over 6,900 yards, make Rose Hill Golf Club even more accessible.

1st time and last time
Like playing on concrete. Fairways and greens were hard as a rock. Greens were bumpy and fast like hitting on a blacktop highway.
Some may say it’s due to the time of year, however I’ve played 4 other local courses during my holiday, that were in great condition, so the excuse is mute.
If you value your clubs, avoid this course.
3 Rambling Golfers take on Rose Hill
It was an enjoyable day for 3 average golfers. Challenging course for the average golfer. Will likely play again in the future.
Tough Conditions During Winter
Played here a lot in 2019-2020. Now, in January, conditions are fair at best. No fairway grass, lots of mud, tees and traps rough. Greens not too bad. Looks like there was no pre-emergent application in the Fall. Weeds popping up everywhere. Course has lots of potential but is way overpriced.
Ok for the time of the year
Nice layout. Parts of it picturesque.
Lovely homes.
Course seems to have not received close attention. Poorly maintained.

First time playing Rose Hill
Friendly staff let me out 45 minutes early since the tee was open. Played the white tees which were6400 yards. Nice routing of holes. Par three’s are long..Back 9 is quite challenging. Fairways are a little thin in grass creating some tight lies. Greens also thin in grass so greens were fast. Nice course and I will return to play it again.

good job
Course is improving very well. Greens in very good condition and the tee boxes are growing in nicely. Keep up the good!!!
Okay but there are better
I've wanted to play here for awhile. Staff very sociable & friendly. Grass dormant.this time of year makes for "tight" lies. Grass around greens holds the ball from getting to the green if you hit short. Greens very quick. & in decent shape. Course layout not any different than anywhere else. It was an enjoyable day but I probably wouldn't ever go back.
Quite Satisfied
I first played this course about 4 years ago. At that time the course condition was pathetic. I wrote a terrible review.
I was pleasantly surprised yesterday. The course gets a lot of play but considering the time of year it was great. The greens were dormant but OMG fast. You could see that the tee boxes were overseeded. All the bunkers had fluffy sand. They are maintaining this course now.
The front nine is beautiful with the water oaks and spainish moss. A real visual treat. The back nine is more challenging.
I look forward to playing there again soon.
Course was ok for me, I am not too fussy.
I would not recommend to my snobbier golf friends.
Nice Day of Golf
The front nine was cart path only due to wet ground; however, the back none was 90 degree on the fairways. It made for lots of walking & slower play on the front it was able to make up for it on the back!
Very Nice for the Price
Challenging layout with lots of water, Didn't get a true feel for the course, however, due to heavy rains for several days before our round. A lot of standing water in the fairways and ponds in the bunkers. Would like to play again with better conditions.
