Rose Hill Golf Club

Enjoyed our round at Rose Hill today. The greens are In very good shape and consistent. The fairways and tee boxes are also in good shape. The pace of play was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a very good value for the cost of the round. Although we did not eat in the restaurant, the restaurant was busy and the menu looked appealing. .

Great day at Rose Hill. Had played this course a few times in the past and the course was a complete mess. The course superintendent should be complemented on the hard work that was put into getting this course in playing condition. The Greens were in great shape and the fairways and ruff had been improved. Great value .

Course was in great condition. Staff was super friendly. We played as two in just over 3 hours. There are some challenges that force you to hit perfect shot. Already booked another round:! Great value. Can’t beat it. Have to drive off the island but worth the drive.

When I first moved into the area, Rose Hill did not have reputation as being a nice course to play and the ratings reflected this opinion. About two (2) years ago the management changed and the course has greatly improved, The fairways and roughs are now in nice condition and the greens are very good. My foursome had a very nice round of golf and we intend to return to Rose Hill.

We had a great 18 holes at Rose Hill today. The staff was amazing. The facilities were great - Nice Club House and lunch at the flip was fast and really good. They make a killer Ruben served on the back porch overlooking the driving range.

Some of the grass needed work in spots but the greens were very good.but there were beautiful views - large trees -with Spanish Moss- wide open fairways and lots of wildlife .

For the price I don't think there's a better deal in the area. A 25 minute drive from downtown Hilton Head Island up 278 and worth the trip. The only complaint I had was ME. My chip shots- Yikes I need more practice.

First time back at Rose Hill in several years. I had heard course had struggled the past few years, but was improving. Very pleased in the condition of the course. I'm a bogey golfer who is looking for a challenging course in good condition at an affordable price. This course fits this description. Course is challenging. It was in good, but improving conditions. Pace of play was a little slow, but that was due to a group a few holes ahead which can happen at any course. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Appeared to have new golf carts. I will play again before leaving the Hilton Head area. Current course star rating does not reflect its condition today. Hope my 5 star rating helps get the rating back to match the current status of the course. Thank you for an enjoyable 18 holes and look forward to play again.

The course was in good shape. Very good greens. Pass of play was an issue. A three some in front of us was very slow. No Marshall on the course all day. We had to skip a hole to finish under 5 hours

I come down to visit the arra every six months or so. I played here this past march. The course has gotten so much better since then. The green are in great shape and the traps are well maintained. I highly recommend giving this course another try if you havent played here in a while.

My friend and Iplayed Rose Hill today. We just had experienced nearly 2 inches of rain last night. Overallthe course was in great shape. Even though there was one standing water in some places the courae was great. The green and fairways were in exceptional shape. The rate at which we paid was unbelievable value. Even though we drove off HHIslandto play Rose Hill it was well worth it. I would recommend this course for anyone who wants a great value round on a course that is in tremendous condition right now. We will be back.

What a great course! I found out early, that course management was going to be the only way to score on this course! There are risk / reward options on virtually every hole. Don’t forget to enjoy the environment, it’s beautiful! From being greeted by the staff to the friendly advice in the pro shop to being asked at the end of the round how I enjoyed the course. Pretty amazing! I most certainly will play there again this week.

Played here in the 90's and the course was not kept up to standards for a course in Hilton Head. Heard it was taken over and getting better. Came back to see for myself. Although the course is(80%) better than before a little more can be done with the fairways and greens. Staff was terrific and we had our special needs daughter with us and they let her ride for free. Snack bar was also very friendly and good. For the price it is a good course to play.

It was a shame the golf carts were fossil fuel powered. Fairways were nice and wide. Greens were good.

Expected really excellent greens but slightly disappointed. Staff was great and rate was reasonable for conditions.

Staff was very friendly, course was in decent shape. Greens rolled pure and were firm. Fairways were in good shape for the most part. For the money, well worth it!

This course was on life support for years. It is now a must play. Many of the greens have been redone, the clubhouse is brand new, and the overall condition is so different from what it used to be. The staff is friendly without being overbearing. It is not what I would call pristine but at the current rate of improvement it will be soon. Go play it now and I'm sure you will agree

Good layout. Only a couple of short forced carries. Four sets of tee boxes to chose from. Greens hold well and are in pretty good shape but slower than other clubs in the area. Traps are quite playable. Fairways snd rough a little thin but that is being addressed. Bar and food services unavailable on Mondays but sandwiches, hot dogs and beverages available in the pro shop. Overall we enjoyed the experience and would return.

Before today, I last played the course before the new clubhouse was finished. Then the course was in bad shape. Poor greens, and unkempt fairways and rough. Today I was totally amazed at the conditions. New greens and neatly mown rough and fairways. The staff was friendly and gave me a summary of the oourse improvements before I went out. Definitely great value for the money. I'll be back and would recommend to friends.
